well the box looks pretty nice, although kinda obvious is the prototype. there is only one thing that caught my eye that i have a concern and is the peg piece to combine the harkens into the double harken. it looks like the same one like the metaltech Grendizer which is fragile and prone to breaking. Im wondering if its possible to maybe customize Grendizer by taking the thighs from SRC Mazinger Z and swapping them with Grendizer. I just might buy an extra just to try it. What do you guys think? Possible? Do you think it would look right? i doubt it a bit, this figure is suppose to be bigger than the Mazingers so im not sure it will be proportionate correctly.

Possible? Do you think it would look right? I really can't say until I have it in my hands. It may not look so bad in person. I would also use a Shin Mazinger instead of a Mazinger Z, since the Shin Mazinger's thighs are a bit bigger than Mazinger Z's. The real problem lies with swapping the parts. Bandai has made it near impossible to disassemble the legs of these figures, so they may have screws, or they may be glued together, or maybe both type of fasteners. Anyway, if you can do it, please don't forget to share here! }D

Damn, this makes me wanna make repros of the SRCs to make enemy robots such as a Garada-K7 and Doublas-M2! So, can anybody confirm whether the spazer will be a regular or tamashii web limited release?

It will be interesting to see how the mechanics for this work. Not sure I care if it is a TWE

i hope it is rubber inside because it will scratch the grendizer figure a lot if it isnt.

wonder how this set would compare to the SOC version. Someone should do a side by side review when its out.

wow, is it just me or the Spazer is as big as the SoC version?. im crossing fingers is not a TWE, at this point it would be stupid. also has anyone notice that the SRC Mazinger Z box looks kinda different?

Is that the SOC Spazer?

Yeah, look at Grendizer's Harkens on his back. They are not parallel like the SRC. That's the SOC alright. }D

The re-issued Mazinger and Great Mazinger come in a new styled box, but the figures remain the same. }D

So Grendizer to Spazer ratio will be greater then the SOC one, I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with the stocky looks or the Spazer shape. It's still Grendizer but another interpretation and being a Grendizer fan I like variety I will also need more space for all these Spazers lol. Including the CM's one I will have five different versions of the Grendizer/Spazer combo, I love it!

Even in the anime Grendizer (and all 1970's Super Robots) looked different from one scene to the next. Only in the Movies/OVAs did they retain their standard looks... at least most of the time. }D

hmmm i made a mistake on taking that pic with the old SRC MZ box, forgot to take into consideration that the box might be more smaller because it will not bring that Styrofoam base (which is so stupid to begin with). perhaps the SRC Daizyujin box would have been a more better picture comparison. since the re-issue SRC Mazinger Z box looks to be the same size.

Awesome! So glad they're making the Spacer. Now the question will be, will the Spacer have any gimmicks, or diecast?
