The ony issue I have with my Leo is that when his cannons are extended they just won't stay extended. They don't lock or anything and just slide back down. I also have this problem on the right side of the cannon. It will not stay fully extended so I just adjust the left one to the same height. The left side stay fully extended without any problem. Other option is to point the cannons in the forward position so they don't slide back down. In regards to Takara and Hasbro QC issues, I can tolerate their QC problems because they produce in much higher quantities. And honestly, Takara and Hasbro don't provided replacement parts. So for any defective item, I just take it back to the store for an exchange. One of the reason I like BBTS so much is because their excellent customer service. I haven't had any problem requesting exchanges or parts from them. Unless, the parts comes from the manufacturer at the time of release, i.e. FP Diesel spare gun part, MMC Bovis's back part that came packaged inside of Fortis's instruction bag or TFC Exgravers shovel that came with TFC HeavyLabor. Most of the time, when they do provide parts, it is likely that they take these parts from a new figure out of a new box and the parts didn't come from the manufacturer. And I know this for a fact after seeing all those big lot of Damage Toy they auction off on eBay, with all kinds of missing parts. Why else would they have so many Takara MP-09 Rodimus with missing legs? Mines actually the same, the left one is fine but the right wont lock all

Why else would they have so many Takara MP-09 Rodimus with missing legs? You're absolutely correct on that. I'm bringing up a case where I frequently have to buy my collectible from a foreign source, because no such official vendor or retailer is available where I live. Had I live in places with easier access to these official retailers, It might've been easier for me to return the defective figures for an exchange. I just don't think it would be worth the cost (and the time) to ship my purchase back where I bought them (Japan or Hong Kong), then finds out that the replacement may have the same defect. BTW, have you looked at the bottom of the MMC Predaking head? I've read reports about the plastic cracking there.

Yep, my copy of the Predaking head also has a small crack on the bottom of the right antennae area, pretty much the same as most people reported. The screw that holds the back plate on the back of the head on the right side is also much harder to screw back on for whatever reason. You need to open this part up to install the batteries for the LED eye. Might be clearance issues inside of the head that is causing this. I don't see it as much of an issue since you are not going see the bottom of the Predaking head much and the antennas still work fine without any looseness or signs that it is getting worst or causing more damage when I do move the antennas. If it is a big enough problem, I am sure that MMC will include another Combine mode head in one of there last two release.

TFC and mmc combiners are just too tall and bloated looking, if you want better cartoon accuracy go with the smaller ones, they are much better in that regard.

I wouldn't say dreadnaut is wrong, it's just his opinion. Too tall and bloated, is his interpretation and how he see it and I disagree when it comes to MMC Feral Rex. TFC Ares is a bit bulky for my taste. UT Warlord has okay proportions but the sculpt and design just doesn't wow me. Is it more G1 cartoon accurate? I could care less because had it been cartoon accurate, I would want no part of it. The G1 cartoon Version of Predaking stinks. In today's cartoon standards, I mean just look at how refine and detail modern day cartoons are. Just watch Gundam Unicorn and see what modern cartoons look like. The cartoons of the past are just so obsolete and dated that I don't care for them at all. When looking at these Transformers and seeing modern day artist interpretation of them in IDW comics etc... I am so use to seeing more details hence forth, I like the more detail modern designs. I have the encore 2010 TakaraTomy Reissue of Predaking. It has a good amount of die cast and is really nice. But it is a outdated toy from the 80's. The box art for the Encore release was so amazing and I wish for something similar to that art design. MMC version is closest to that drawing. And in that drawing, Predakjng is Powerful and has a good amount of bulk to him. Not a scrawny/skinny detail less design from the cartoon show.

Warlord looks marginally more like cartoon Predaking than feral rex.
Facts are not wrong.

Those "facts" don't make one better than the other IMO Whatever floats your boat I guess

Those "facts" don't make one better than the other IMO I agree, which is why I said "If you want better cartoon accuracy" and not "x toy is crap, get y toy instead".

They both look good but I still like the MMC one better. The TFC one has nice bulk but it looks to disjointed and gappy while the MMC one has a smoother overall appearance.

4 down. 1 to go. MMC all the way. I feel like Feral Rex looks more G1 accurate and Ares looks more cartoon accurate.

Nice pictures, you said you were having problems with the ankle joint on the tfw2005 forum. The way to fixed this is to fold down them little black clips on the bottom of the feet piece, the ones you fold down to clip onto fortis in beast mode. Those two little clips stablizes him a lot, as seen in Vangelus's review and was mentions by Peaugh in the threads.

I tried to do that, but it didn't seem to help Rex from tilting backwards which is where most of the weight is headed. How effective is the Future polish method? I remember trying it and perhaps I didn't wait long enough for it to dry, but it rubbed off after a few transformations and was loose again.

I've never tried that method so I don't know how well it works. In the past, I have used the crazy glue method and coated the ball joints with a layer of crazy glue. It works for a bit but not permanent and rubs off after a while. I guess it isn't much of a problem if you keep the figure still and don't pose it much. Still waiting for BBTS for my Talon. I am in no hurries to get this since I need them to get FP's version of Sludge also before I shipped the loot.

October will be ready for those who want a full set ! And I will ! Awesome! I just need another Bovis to complete a second Feral Rex set. At least I know I can relax for a while and not have to rush out to get him.

And 6th member Felisaber (Tigris remold) will be ready in december. Not sure about an Arcee remold... Will digg it...
