Is it true they are making a dariugger one next? eBay pissed me off recently anyway. (Don't get me stated... lol, I should open a thread to rant about my seller ratting issue) Do it in the Negative Transaction thread. It'll let the rest of us know what to watch out for. }D

Thanks TMZ. I got mines on eBay and really surprise to have received it in less than a week. Pretty good for free shipping. I also fixed my previous post, there was a picture that wasn't there and also a duplicate picture. Last night, I didn't even get to edit the pictures prior to posting them. Here's one that I edit, used instagram to do it. Dream EX did have a drawing and a poster of a SD Dairugger XV at one of them HK toy show/convention where they showed off all their items, which included the other members of the Samurai Pizza Cat characters. Last thing I wanna say about this SD Voltron, I would easily recommend this GOKIN figure to all if the quality was better. But for those of your that have decided on getting it, don't set your hopes up too high. The quality is not on par with say the ES Gokin line from Fewture. I am not saying that all of the copies are imperfect, but once you get hold of the box, you will know what I mean about the quality. You have to see the box in person to know this feeling. The print on the box just give off the really cheap feel, because the printing is not crisp and the image is not sharp. Once I saw the outside of the box, I kinda knew that the figure is going to be iffy at best. Definitely not made at the high quality production plants that Bandai uses for their Chogokin and such. Perhaps maybe in the future when this company builds a little bit of capitol and can afford to produce these items at a better place. For this reason, I support them. But the main reason is still because despite some flaws, I really like the looks of this little Gokin.

I saw your original comments and still ordered with all this in mind (I love look of this little guy). But I'm sure as I get more excited about it, I would feel more disappointed without your comments. I will put up my thoughts after I have it, although they will probably reflect your review very closely... Still hard not to get excited - I just got my tracking number this morning!

Gotta be some type of record. I have to say after reading supergetterv's remarks, I was very surprised with this toy. First thought is I LIKE IT! I'll follow up with pics etc. But I gotta say for $109 - it's worth it.

Sorry to hear about the paint issues. Can this toy be disassembled for repainting?

Sorry to hear about the paint issues. Can this toy be disassembled for repainting? I have no paint issues but one finger print in the shiny paint. In the Black lion head (where the magnet face would go - which is very strong BTW). There is a small finger print under the magnet, witch is barely noticeable and once I put the face one, it can't be seen. Very happy with the paint. But I can see, I was fortunate. Others may not be as lucky.

I wanted to get a feel for the actual size before I pull the trigger on this.

Ok, so bare with me, I'll try to put up a bunch of pictures and give you my thoughts. RECEIVING - FACTORY FRESH
I love it when its FACTORY FRESH. It comes bubble wrapped nicely and thin wrapping paper to protect the box. Makes you feel like some guy in a factory sealed this one JUST FOR ME and NO human hands have touched it since. BOX & GRAPHICSThe box is very nice. They used a heavier cardboard. The box is very sturdy but from experience, these boxes start to attract water and eventually warp. BANDAI uses compressed cardboard and at times seams flimsy - but is just as sturdy and lasts longer before warping. Graphics, you can see on the picture below: They use full color with Silver foil for the name. The pictures aren't fuzzy or anything. But you can tell the image is like 720, not 1080. I don't knock them for it, but if you compare it to BANDAI boxes, of course you will think - "HEY THEY CHEAPED OUT ON THE BOX." INSIDE THE BOXNeed I say anything - 3 faces, 3 swords, shield, stand and the figure. Plastic containers hold everything tight and all painted parts are wrapped in plastic. THE FIGURESo here's some basic pics. I'm not a great pose photo guy YET. So, I'll leave that to others. Pics show size comparison shots. Bigger than a Pepsi Can
It's actually pretty decent next to Mazinger, but not as large as Panosh Place Voltron. And still able to leap tall buildings! Weight is 5.6 oz. Not bad, but I never had any other SDs before. I am happy with the weight. ARTICULATION:This is about as close the hands can get to each other. Rather than show movement, I figured this pic is the best. One thing the pic doesn't show, the head goes up and down. So, I love the figure. Great articulation and size. Very happy with the paint. Price is reasonable at $110 (includes shipping). Only annoyance, it doesn't include the 2 mini batteries for lighting up the eyes. Have to go get those this week. I am a VOLTRON guy, so i knew I was eventually going to get it. But I am impressed with the quality. I hope they make the VEHICLE VOLTRON next. Love to see what they can do with it. (Sorry about the big pictures. I am a NEWB at the review stuff..)

Great review. He's smaller then I imagined.
He's small and cute..i know cute sound funny but it is what it is..lol. I may try to display him in the baby's room. Ill have to see how the wife feels about that..I'm sure she remembers how the living room started with one trendmaster voltron and grew and grew... she did let me get him a robot rug and some robot onesies. (just remembered I wanted to order the "future voltron fan" onesie)

Actually, his hands can touch one another. You are missing a articulation point. The shoulder sockets can be pulled out like the newer Gundam Kits. See, this silver parts pulls out, giving him more range of motion. In regards to the box, I wasn't talking about the stock of the cardboard paper. It was just the print isn't on as good as stuff that I am used to. I mean the pictures that I take are clearer than the one printed on the box. It's just isn't the same as stuff I am used to. I hate to say it, but even normal Hasbro stuff at Walmart has better printing. The Foil stamping is a nice touch though. I can tell that your were very careful with the figure. Maybe because of what I said. Mines was pretty nice out of the box until I started to move things around and pose the Voltron. I didn't even stress it out or was being vigorous with it but paint started to chip, and paint started to rub off on some parts. On a side note, batteries for this is super cheap on eBay. I got a 10 pack for 2$ with free shipping.

Cool. I didn't notice that shoulder joint. After reading your review, I was being more careful.
And I know what you mean with the pictures. They are good, but like DVD quality (720), when they can easily be HD(1080). Even my phone can do that.
Only thing I did notice when I received it, was the fresh paint smell. You know when you open the toys up and sometimes, you can smell the acetone a little? It had that smell - gone now, as I have it out in the open. No paint was soft or chipping, but I don't play with it. I find a pose I like and display for a couple of weeks, before I change it again.

Had to buy them a GOLION knockoff to keep them from touching my displays of vintage stuff.

Nice reviews! I think we're at a point in this hobby where the standards have become very high from figures like SOC, SRC, and Fewture stuff. Even 3rd party Transformer stuff can be very high quality that when we get a figure that's either a 3rd party like this or official like the MP Voltron we have been educated enough and have handled enough high quality stuff that we can instantly see where certain areas fall flat. A toy like this or the MP Voltron if it came out 10-15 years ago we would have overlooked the QC issues because we didn't know better. Now we do and companies either legit or 3rd party better know this because nowadays word travels fast and can ruin your reputation for a long time.

Thanks for the size comparison shot with the soda can. This definitely gives me an accurate size representation. The more I look at more pics, the more I am sold.
