Well, the Aoshima Shin Getter 1 is a brick compared to this. Big and sexy...but a big sexy brick. The articulation on this will be insane. I guess they could have made the elbow joints red.
Personally I think this figure looks amazing.
Edit: I also want a Tomahawk! I love that thing

True the Aoshima is a brick, a lovely heavy diecast brick but it is for sure a generation or two behind SRC in terms of engineering. It does make a great shelf piece though, as for the Getter Tomahawk I'm expecting it to be a Tamashii exclusive with some parts effects and perhaps different style wings or a gun, but I'm just guessing.

The price is really steep.

Well, the cost could be he is going to be tall. Like Grendizer height (or taller) and he could be heavily diecast.

Well... we didn't get the OVA versions of Getters 2, 3, Getter Lyger and Poseidon, I don't see why Bandai will change their pattern now... Sigh, I can't believe I passed up on SRC Mazinkaiser back in the day in the hopes of Bandai releasing a perfect set with the wings. lol... Gold was there any difference between the Armageddon Liger/Poseidon and the Getter G versions?...aside from the placement of the drill on Liger? I passed for unrelated reasons, and I know that pain, looking at the MG Heine Destiny... The Armageddon versions were chunkier, a bit more stocky too. Gold

It looks pretty nice, I was half hoping they would include the cape style wings from the manga but that was never likely. I hope they include the tomahawk axe and the gun but if they don't that high price might suggest that its in scale with the other getter armageddon socs those figures weren't too much bigger then src scale after all.

Gee the wing choice is poor, the closed wings are the best, the version i own. Those wings are droopy and bring the figure down in a sense, higher wings or closed would look better, maybe Tamashii set! It took me a while to open up to Shin getter, because of the brown shoulders to me are an odd color choice, teh red shoulder closed wing looks much better and is also anime accurate.I like these dark cherry shoulders though, nuch better than teh matte brown aoshima ones.my opinions of course.

I agree 100% Baron! I have the closed wing Aoshima and it was the only one I liked. This one though is going to be fun to play with!!!! I don't mind the wing choice, but I would not mind more options. These look articulated like the Revoltech ones were. Reminds me, the Revoltech ALSO had Red Shoulders.

The Revoltech has brown shoulders bro. The closed wing version is okay, but I rather have the Open Wing myself. ;D }D

Hmm. Always thought it was a burgundy/red. Looked that way to me though.
Closed wing was in my price range. Devil Wing would have been my choice if not for cost.

I got the Original, the W-Wing, and the Black Devil Wing. I like the W-Wing (aka regular color Sin Getter with Devil Wings) best of all. IMO the regular wings are too small, and the closed wings are just that - closed wings (look more like Devilman's wings). The Devil Wings are perfect. }D

with that giant price, maybe we'll get more than just the thin wings? I like them as they give that feeling of "Muscular-yet-sleek" that made me fall in love with Shin Getter....shame not one figure that I can think of got that feeling Juuuust right...

Hopefully no broken wings issue on this release ;D
Wings sure look a little flimsy from the picture.

Chunky and monkey armed, yup that's Shin Getter lol. Nice to see Danguard displayed and in a real life setting. Looks good, I already knew it was gonna be small but it looks like it was more designed to fit with both SRC's and your standard SOC.

That last picture would totally rock if there was a Koji Mazinkaiser in it as well. }D

What is that green thing near Shin Getter Robo? Stoner Sunshine Effect Part?
Also, HUUUUGE...looks more like a SOC than a SRC...

I think it is a reflection of a Saint Myth figure.
Oh and those new pics are awesome. This thing is ginormous. Makes sense the cost now
