I really think this scale works great! ;D }D I remember that Getter figure...also, I've been meaning to ask...how did you get such a clean finish on your painted Mazingers? I used an airbrush to paint them. }D

That is the Yamato Getter right TMZ? Which is the Getter Dragon? Yeap, the Hero Collection Getter 1. The Getter Dragon is the SOC, and the Shin Getter is the Romando vinyl action figure. }D

I meant to call out the Shin Getter from Romando. Though, the Xebec Victory Series one would work REALLY well in that scale too. I have both the Hero Collection Getters. They are solid gokin for the cost! Too bad Yamato killed that line.

True. They are almost all diecast. I think only the head and hands are plastic. }D

I really think this scale works great! ;D }D yup it almost works great, the only issue i would have is getter 1 been shorter than grendizer and great mazinger still looking some what small. however that jeeg looks great with them, which jeeg is that?.

That's the Evolution Toy Small Jeeg. I determine the true scale using the size of the robot's cockpit. If Getter 1 was bigger, and according to the size of the cockpit, pilot would have to be around 7 or 8 feet tall. }D

Thus is the problem with ALL toys...SOMETHING will always be amiss...like Aoshima's New Getter Robo...a Ruby Beauty that is only ruined by it's UGLY UGLY UUUGLYYY Elbow joint gimmick... could be worse though...it could be something along the lines of Prime92's GHD Freedom Gundam model in terms of quality.

Completely disagree, but hey everyone has their own opinion. Getter 1's cockpit is not in the head, it's in the chest. The Jet Condor is to scale with the Jet Pilder in my SRCs. Not so much in the head that comes with the SRC Great Mazinger from the factory. So, like I said, taken the pilots size in consideration to the robots' cockpit they are pretty much in scale. }D

the getter 1 cockpit was originally the chest, but they move it to the head in the old show because of the monitors failing. now it has become staple that the getter 1 cockpit is on the head.

I'll take some pictures of the cockpit of my Getter 1 figures, including the ones where the pilot's seat can clearly be seen... in the chest. }D

I remember that episode, the cockpit was moved to the mouth for Getter 1, Getter 2 had it in the forehead, and Getter 3 was moved to one of the eyes.

Of all the classic robots shows the Getters is the weirdest. Go Nagai made it his point to make a believable toy impossible with his robot morphing designs. But in the new animation, the Getters are a little bit more realistic, if there is such a thing. They try to keep them believable and keep the cockpit in the chest, except for the Black Ryoma Getter which can't transform into the other two Getters and has the cockpit in the head.

yanno...I REALLY hope that the scythe and Getter beam parts arent;'t the ONLY things we're getting with Shin getter...because that would mean Weapon Packs...and at Shin Getter's Price Range, I feel that's unacceptable...
then again, it could be worse, they could sell you the parts of the figure individually like a Gokin-version of EA.

I just noticed the wings are attached to a pack that had the same attachment point as Maz, Grendizer, Gunbuster, and Gurren also the forearms use the same system, neat. I've never seen a Getter with a firing punch but I will now. In fact once this a Grendizer show up ill post a pick of all six shooting their fists.
Edit- aw crap I only got four of those firing effects.
