It is a robot that transforms into a racecar. And no, it is not a sentient being as it needs an actual pilot. This was an obscure anime until the recent announcement that the series will be released on blue ray DVDs.

This will be really interesting to see how this develops. Very limited selection of items from this anime were made. It'll be nice to have a toy for once. Definitely will be watching this.

I fell in love with this design a few years ago and I was saddened by how little merchandise there was of this character. UNTIL NOW! Once again megahouse pulls out another obscure license for their Variable Action HI SPEC line. Keep it coming megahouse!

It seems to take a lot from Braiger,SR that turns into a race car and also has the flipping chest fin spoliers like Braiger.Braiger came out in 81 Galvion 84.Ill pick him up,he falls into my collecting years 72-84.

Galvion is coming along nicely and from the looks of it, is megahouse developing other mecha from Galvion? Color me more intrigued.

Huh. For some reason I had looked at all the promo stuff for this and assumed that there was no way it could ACTUALLY transform and it was just a Yamato Braiger style parts swapping nightmare. Now that I realize I'm wrong I'm kind of intrigued.

I never saw the show, but I was always enamored by the design. The larger takatoku toy of Galvion never made it to production so seeing a modern fully transformable Galvion toy is just kind of amazing.

Nice! I had this as a kid. The car was pretty cool but I hated the robot mode because it looked nothing like the box art proportion wise. Nice they decided to update it.
