Where can i pre order the black vers? Event exclusive. Not sure if they all passed yet but be prepped to pay an extra $100 for them. I missed the event at my place by a few days and I didn't find any of them in any of the local hobby stores afterwards so :X kinda weird. As much as I like Getter I feel like I may pass on for this release. Been buying too much Macross Valks.

^^ I'm not much of a reviewer but I can throw in my two cents. Just got the figure this morning and I haven't transformed it. My early impressions are very good. The figure's fit and finish is excellent, the engineering reminds of a SHE kit. Definitely less of a toy than a completed model. It's highly detailed and is on the fragile side. This won't survive a shelf dive. The joints are nice and tight. So far, the only area of attention I can point to are the wings. The wings are detented and can angle out, but I've only done so very carefully and only got as far as one click. It looks like it can angle out one more click, but it won't budge after the first click. I won't force it unless I see someone else do it first. You only get one set of hands which are posed half-open. The area between the palms is tight enough to grip the axes and the scythe handles. Take the time when you're transforming this for the first time. There are a multitude of panels that flip and out. It's not a clean and perfect transformation as you'll see kibbles here and there, especially the grey pylons that hold things in place. It's also around the same size as the Sentinel Getter 1. Will try to post pics when I get back home tonight. Overall, I highly recommend it. But it bears repeating that the figure is bit fragile with its precise fitment. As long as you're ok with this, you should be fine.

Really? I feel the toy is very firm for such a complicated figure WAY better than say a similarly complicated Megahouse figure like Galatt or the Circus car guy who i cant think of his name right now,THOSE feel fragile, this guy feels great. As far as the wings they click out 3 points per side i believe, dont be afraid they are strong.
Trust me you guys know how critical i am,and this figure in robot pose anyhow is a winner all around, great plastic used too,I was surprised at one set of hands but the 2 glorious Scythes made up for it,and they fit in his hands. His wrists may get loose from the heft of the scythes so secure them on the ground or against his legs whatever.
I cant comment on the Ptero mode as mine will stay in Robot mode, and wont be being changed anytime soon,if ever.
I give this guy a STRONG 8.5 and on looks an easy 9.
EDIT..one thing I forgot to add,he cant bend his elbows farther than half way so his forearm angle only goes to about a 90 degree position.

^^Thanks for the clarification regarding the 3-point click on the wings, Baron. I will try it later, although I may need to work up the courage because it felt like it wouldn't budge past the first click. Are they also designed to swing out in unison? Looks like it by the way the gears are designed and how they interact inside the wing assembly. On mine, the only wing that moves is the one you're moving.
I can't wait to transform this into its pteranodon mode! My comments about the fragility of the toy is mostly around the transformation sequence. It looks a little bit scary. One wrong move during the sequence will mostly likely result in breakage. I'm hoping that it's as solid as you think, Baron!
Edit: Baron, when you get the chance, can you take a pic of the wings fully swept back? I just tried it on my copy and I just can't seem to get past the 1st click.

Personally I would never transform it out of Getter mode so I guess its okay for me. Really want it also because of the two scythes but Gotta spend wisely. Finally a chance to get another Black Getter for close to retail price so I may skip the dino line :X

The wings dont click in unison.I have him put away in my case and set up in such a way that I dont want to have to re set him up,I posted a pic on previous page.I can assure you though he does click at least 2 times per wing and I think 3.The wings when swept back are not in a full 90 degree from the body but at least 45 degrees. They do indeed click more than one time though because I was trying to see what would look/setup best and had posed him in different wing click positions.Indeed teh best look is at one click each,so if yours goes only one each your set anyhow to display in robot mode..Maybe someon else will post pics of teh different clicking poses if theirs does too.But indeed they do click more than once each try doing it one wing at a time if you can.

Has anyone gotten their hands on the Black Dino Getter? There was a con here that carried it (didn't go) and I've heard 0 news about it. No idea where to get it and all (only seen them on ebay)

^^Thanks for the clarification regarding the 3-point click on the wings, Baron. I will try it later There's also a super secret 4th click... But you must REALLY want it to happen! Just kidding! Please don't force those wings on account of my poor taste in humor

Haha! Yeah, that super secret 4th click is only for the ultra limited edition version, I heard All kidding aside, I did force it out at either 2 or 3 clicks, and was so glad that it didn't break! The only thing is that, with the wings so heavy, the figure tips backward if you have the wings out at the 3rd click. So, it's back to the 1st click for me. ulessa, I think you were asking about the ab articulation. It's superb! I thought that because it was transformable meant that it would sacrifice any articulation around the waist, but it's got it. The torso is divided into 3 main components: chest area, stomach area, and hip area. All three components are connected via ball joints that allow for a good range of motion. I haven't transformed it yet but plan to do so. When I do, I'll have to be super-careful in not snapping off any of the panels and pylons that flip during the transformation mode. From the videos, it looks a bit complicated
