Skipped GX-62 but Trider G7 is a must have for me. If it's 23cm then that's bigger than Danguard right?

If it's 23cm that's about 9" or as tall as Daimos.

And I just keep deferring my retirement a few years everytime we get more toy releases from Bandai.

Interesting. Similar look as the previous Daitarn and Danguard releases, so it fits thematically, I guess. The design itself unfortunately doesn't do anything for me. I kind of liked the wide variety of stuff Bandai was putting into the SOC line several years ago - anything from big stuff like Ideon and Gunbuster to little things like Gold Lightan and the Xabungle crew. I'll keep waiting and hoping for a revival of interest the Super Robot Wars OG designs from Bandai

Agree. With 3 SRWOG OVAs, and I lost count how many SRW games, an SOC SRX is long overdue... }D

9" is a good enough size for me! Then again, I love the GX-62 size. Looks awesome.

Trider G7 looks quite big from the video. Hope it will be at least the size of Zambot 3.

I'm sure someone could whip up a quick quessimate by comparing the place card to another figure using the same type.

Quite a surprise on a full on ready display prototype with no prior news. I kind of like what I see, but at the same time minor things about it bugs me. I wish the face is slightly different and the chest not as wide. It look pretty accurate to the show from what I can tell, but it lacks the touch-up that SOC usually does to the classic robots to pretty them up a bit. The overall look feels slightly too simple (like the Yamato Danguard Ace vibe). 23cm sounds a tad small, but I can live with it. But all things being said, I'll keep an eye on this guy and will probably grab him when the price is good. Still have the nostalgia of owning a plastic transforming Tryder G7 when I was very little. And that was a very fun toy, often pull out his head and fly it around as a small jet.

Not saying it is not accurate as I stated so, more like a little tweak on the proportion and face may look better as a SOC. Kind of like these poster/DVD art of the show, with a less wide boxy chest, but is still very accurate to what it is.

23cm? I can live with it, but much prefer around the same height as Daitarn(26cm)!
