Mine also has light scratches on chest. For some reason whenever I get stuff from amiami this seems to happen.

All the gold paint or a few scratches?mine have some very tiny ones on both ,but not like your describing.Photo? BTW no you wont get any replaced anything from AMIAMI they just dont replace to USA customers. Yea, AMIAMI told me that they could only give me store credit for 1000 yen, which is like 10 bucks. The chest crest is all scratched up, looks like someone was rolling it on some hard surface. the gold paint is about 30% gone with center part all messed up. I tried to clean it up a bit and thinking it maybe dust. The right foot also got circle shape paint scratches like a size of half a dime. Other than that basically nothing else is wrong. Oh man that is terrible!! You could always buy one from Amazon and return this one to them for $ back,I always do shady stuff like that with amazon,BUT only cuz I got screwed so many times by them,I always end up with more than I started with though since they do end up bending over backward for you in the end,not like its a small business so no guilt here, hell they dont lose money in the end Bandai just eats it.I really dont think this is an AmiAmi issue just bad QC..

So... my Trider arrived from Nippon Yasan because Amiami cancelled my previous order. Once again, Nippon Yasan delivered my package stealthily past customs. Anything I should be watching for when I open him up?

Yeah, and if you're not a stickler for sealed, you can probably get an opened one on Mandy for even less. Granted, the biggest issue with Mandy is that you have no idea how much the shipping is gonna be until you have to pay for it...

I'm just worried that if something goes wrong, it's a pain to return/exchange. I've had several orders from Amiami that went fine. And the one order that did have something go wrong, they weren't really helpful with correcting the situation. True, I have to wait a lot longer, but I guess I like that peace of mind knowing I can get reliable customer service if/when something does go wrong. Isn't it expensive to ship back to Asian retailers too when something goes wrong?

My whole collection just about comes from JAPAN and I have never felt the need to return anything and I am a perfectionist basically.Anime Export is good about returns if you need one.But really I never had to return anything to Japan.

Well, HLJ has better customer service than amiami, that's for sure. That said, I can't for my life remember if they refunded me the shipping costs for the one item I ever had to return to them...

anyone having a scratched up chest crest? I just got my shipment from AMIAMI, and the chest crest all the gold paint is gone. is there a way I can get a replacement. I just opened mine this evening and the chest is scratched up. There is even paint residue on the taped surface from the foam block that protected the paint. Not sure if the paint was still semi-wet before they packed it or what, but mine definitely looks scuffed/worn out in the middle and dull all over. Baron, I usually agree with you on basically 99.9% of things on the forums, but after getting another jacked up figure and based on my weird bad luck of getting weird QC issues, I'm going to stick with US retailers that can help with exchanges and helpful customer service. I'll be sending this Tryder G7 back to Amazon for an exchange. Hopefully I get one with a decent paint job on its chest. The waiting sucks but had I gotten this from Japan, I'd be stuck with a scuffed up chested Tryder G7, would develop a disinterest in this character and toy as a coping mechanism, and would be bitter for a while. I put in the request to exchange on Amazon a few minutes ago. They already have a replacement Tryder G7 being shipped to arrive by Friday. I haven't even packed up my defective one and they already have a new one coming in less than 2 days.

That's the first time I've seen him with other combiners

Wow, he's smaller than I thought he'd be... That's the first time I've seen a pic of him with other combiners.. Why is his starting retail price so high? He seems to be $20. more than Daltanious and the Daitarn 3 renewal.. Don't get me wrong, I'm still getting him.. He's sitting in my Pile of Loot right now... Does he come with some other big accessory to justify the higher price ? So is he basically the same height as Daimos?

He's a great figure with engineering that surpasses pretty much any SOC now plus he comes with what I believe is one of the largest accessory ever for a SOC along with the Spazer and mountain for Reideen.

I'm pretty sure Face Mountain is bigger.
But Raideen is a lot smaller than Trider and the Shuttle has a lot more engineering and paint apps in it than the mountain...

Mine just shipped today. Can't wait until next week. Man... Then there's no more new SoC's (Super Robots) for the foreseeable future ... I'll buy a second Godmars when he comes out, and I'm really hoping that the Voltes V is the "Respect the Volt" version cuz I'll definitely grab that... But that might not be for a while.. And GGG is still a long way off I'm sure.. Oh well, it will give me the breathing room to get any older one's I don't have yet I guess.. And At least there's a few awesome SRC's coming down the pipe soon. Question for you guys.. I just started collecting SoC's a few months ago, so I'm not really familiar with the normal yearly release patterns for the line. Since I started collecting them, it's been fast and furious, with Daitarn 3 Renewal, the Daltanious Reissue, and Trider, with each coming coming out at about a month apart. Add the Godmars reissue and that's 4 releases this year (not sure when Space Battleship Yamato came out, was that this year?) If so than that's 5.. Do we usually get that many in a year, or was this just a big year for the brand?
