The whole tipping thing is a pretty common issue with many SoC's in my experience. I just got a selaed Voltes V in the mail today, and that ball joint in the ankle is extremely loose as well. Luckily, balljoint looseness is an easy fix.

I don't recall having the same issue on mine. I would suggest collapsing the ankles back in once you reach a pose you like, ankles don't need to be pulled all the way out or pushed all the way in. This way you limit it's motion and avoid tipping. Welp, don't I feel like an utter fool now. I didn't even try collapsing them in like that!

I am supremely late with the commentary, but alas I see the Trider-G7 is finally out and turning heads. Now... waaaay back early in this thread some of us were commenting about the display samples on modified DX stands. It seems Bandai hit another home-run when they released their Stage Act stand back in June this year... ...not only are these stands awesome, they are Linkable! Double-awesome! Chalk it up to the original DX Mazinger display base for inspiring these display stands! zozo-mag

I'd buy those if they weren't so crazy expensive.
I mean, one alone isn't too pricey - but who's going to buy just one?

YES YES AND YES! Upon revisiting Tryder today I noticed hey wait you guys are right the feet pull out so they can sit flat on the ground,AND NO NO AND NO! I put them RIGHT BACK in shut up position as yes he has much more chance to tip with ankles extended,Sure you can do one extended and one shut,Im sure this is much more meant for that to do dynamic posing, but having them extended is a no no,his legs pull out too.

Hey Baron, where did you get yours from? And is yours suffering the chest scuff issue?

Funny how things work out. I was not interested in the SOC Tryder, and this morning I bought one (with perfect chest) from Baron. Weird... }D

Pulling the feet out probably has nothing to do with the posing; the ankles can still tilt regardless. Maybe it's transformation related? Or maybe it's just to make said tilting a bit easier, the sideways motion is really stiff. *shrug*

What I'm saying is when they are extended they seemed to pivot left to right easier and farther.I'll just check myself its not a great mystery that needs solving I was just making observations.

Nice to see that the only major issues regarding this model are loose forward-backward tilt of the ankles (easily fixable) and the chest plate. Maybe I'll get one in the future. I just hope to find one with a chest plate in good conditions Also, something that hasn't been pointed out yet: the treads. They're so big, Bandai could have given Tryder the Franky treatment, and give this guy working plastic treads. Instead we got the regular rubber ones, you know they're gonna wear out and stiffen overtime

Although I love rubber treads, those Franky treads are a work of art. I'm just glad I'm not going to mess with the tank mode when I get my Trider.

If anyone is thinking about throwing down and getting Trider in the near future let me know. I have credit at thetoysource I don't really want to use... so hoping someone wants to order from there, I can order with the credit, have the figure sent directly to them and pay me instead of a store
