I just hope Bandai didn't go too far with the anime accuracy and have linear gao scrape the insides of gaigar. Although instead of sparks it will be blue paint. LOL... So that should make the CM's version the most anime accurate then! }D

So the ultimate question: Who will be ballsy enough to make a battle damaged custom of this? Same guy that did it with the DX Mazinger... }D

Gotta admit, this GGG takes precedence over everything else

Gotta admit, this GGG takes precedence over everything else I agree with you, more and more names are slowly but constantly appearing on the wishlist, but... This is one of those things you buy on day 1. It looks that good 40th anniversary Mazinger and Voltes will come shortly thereafter, but I don't care, this GGG is a must have and thus has the priority Oh well, I'll manage to save up an extra 100 and something euros for when the new Mazinger comes out I think, hoping it won't cost much more but at this rate, Voltes risks to get sacrificed (postponed) in favour of the other 2... well it depends really, on when it will arrive here for retail. Even a few extra weeks might be enough. *fingers crossed and wallet shut*

It's gonna be a tough one! One SOC GGG and at least two GX-01R+ 40th Anniversary Mazingers. Not getting the Voltes, as I already have two, and Caribbean Aphrodite is definitely a pass. Still, it will be expensive! }D

Now, I'm hoping Bandai gives the GaoFighGar the same SOC treatment. Don't care much for GaoGaiGar or Genesic GaoGaiGar, but I'm still getting them (yeah, if the GGGG is ever made). However, if there is ever an SOC GaoFighGar, it will surely hurt my finances, as I can't only get just one. }D GGGG I think will be a shoe in since all they have to do is repack Galion with new gao machines. GFG on the other hand will be 100% new figure so more than likely it'll come down to how those two sell.

But the Genesic Galeon is still different from the original GGG Galeon. Still, I do hope we see the other two get made as well. }D

They would not have to make an entire new Galeon. Some slight retooling here and there but still the same lion.

Looks like GGGs will take a center stage in Bandai's SOC line for the next couple of years. GGG, Star parts & Goldy, then GFG, and ultimately GGGG. But what I really hope they'll attempt is make a SOC King J-Der. Its been 15 years or so, and still no company is ballsy enough to make a King J-Der gokin, with Takara's chunky plastic being the only transforming King J-Der ever made. I don't even mind if it has little diecast, a big size really good transforming King J-Der would be a real treat (maybe in scale with SRC GGGs?).

+1 on the King J-Der! You know, I would be perfectly happy with the SRC scale compatible giant model they showed. Just like they did with the 1/350 giant scale Space Battleship Yamato, Bandai should release that King J-Der model, even if they do it as a Tamashii Web Exclusive. }D

I also wonder if King J-Der is really popular enough in Japan. GGG seems to be popular enough. GGGG and GFG probably too. But I cannot help but wonder about everything else.

I also wonder if King J-Der is really popular enough in Japan. GGG seems to be popular enough. GGGG and GFG probably too. But I cannot help but wonder about everything else. I can see the rest of the GGG team (The fire trucks, Mic Sounders 13th, Volfogg..etc.) not being as popular, as they play a lesser roll in the show and they are not that powerful on their own. But King J-Der on the other is a very prominent mech in both TV & Final, and its power rivals Star GGG with his hammer, if not greater. In terms of anime magic, SOC managed to do some pretty convincing things in the past, be it with intricate toy engineering and/or parts swap. Seeing Bandai can get this accurate with GGG, I am just very eager to see what they can do with King J-Der, when its never done before. Even Takara's King J-Der is not that bad, when you imagine it with some proportion tweak and added articulations, as well as a smaller swapable head in combined form. It can be really epic.

Oh yeah, Bandai can sure make that transformation happen without breaking a sweat. My only gripe would be the size (small, for a reason). But just like the Iron Gear does, it could come with properly scaled mechanoids too! }D

Ordered couple of in-stock items from AE, but haven't tried to pre-order from them yet. I think you have to pay full upon pre-order, unlike amiami. My only issue with them is that their customer service is non-existent, tried it before, they just ignored my inquiry.
