5Pro is a very small toy boutigue at S.Korea. They produced some remarkable SD resin kits of some Korean Super robots. Now they are poised to release their first diecast figure at hefty $650 PreO price.... I couldn't link the photos but I linked the site with their proto. shop.naver.com/5pro/products/205400227The proportion is dead on! Just beautiful. Maybe they scouted ET sculptor? j/K

Yikes. Is it just me or is everything going in the $500 price range nowadays? DX Maz, Unlimetal Optimus..

Neostorm made one, but this one looks better. It's also taller, at 21 cm. That's as tall as the Brave Gokin Grendizer. Neostorm's Taekwon was classic SOC sized.
But small company or not, it's expensive. Even more than an EX Gokin, but smaller and nowhere nearly as complex.

This is just too expensive for a chogokin Taekwon V, I actually watched this as a kid and was rather annoyed at the animation. I've always regarded him as a Mazinger Z clone that does taekwondo. Even the DX Mazinger Z isn't that expensive and it's loaded with accessories and even a display box.

True ! So much expensive ! It's just a Gokin, not a DX with all details and/or removables shell parts. I checked prostudio website : there is only a dummy page (no link) : 5prostudio.com/

Thanks for posting the pics. Yep, the price... I have no doubt the director and the creator of this character has to do with the price. He is an egomaniac who is in serious denial....without name calling, he reminds me so much of WEP....character wise.
I would so love to get this piece, and I,m sure it would sell very well at around 200. Which would be a fair price. 5pro is very capable craftsmen but they practically handmade other resin kits so..according to the rumor this piece will also be very limited in numbers. That could also be the reason the price is so outrageous.

So are most of the bad guys in Korean super robot anime. everybody in Korea and the rest of world know he,s a copy except the creator.....really pathetic. But taekwon has a charm and have a heart. I want to this guy but man, 650? 700 with shipping? I wish some what reputable toy company do a KO of him for 200. The creator shouldn't whine as taekwon himself is KO anyway.

He does have charm and it's an interesting piece since he's one of the few robots who doesn't have much figures made. A knock off wouldn't be impossible since South Korea does produce some bootleg toys. I'm now actually thinking of making my own Taekwon V just for kicks lol. Though if I do make him I'll omit the pilder unit since it really, really reminds me he is a clone of Mazinger. He actually has a very simple design which isn't hard to do but first I still have to finish my current project.

I checked prostudio website : there is only a dummy page (no link) : 5prostudio.com/i have to say that one looks really nice, even though its using the SRC and HLPros articulation system (SRC=Elbows, HLPro= Knees) the only things i could criticize about it is: - The lower arms, there more of a human shape instead of been like cylinder type. - The price for it is to high for what it is. Other than that it still looks really nice. I always wanted to have a figure of this guy. i wonder if there gonna make his leg detachable like it did in one episode or for that matter, are they gonna make Taekwon V the 2nd as well?.

It better be a limited edition because at that price for a non-transforming, non-combining, no weapons or accessories robot, I'm thinking you won't sell any.

I always wanted a Taekwon V just because I like super robots and I spent a year in South Korea with the US Army on that DMZ, 600 is lot of money for that though. Im sure it would sell ok in Korea. They Koreans have "moved up in the world" lately. Knowing the Koreans, they would not see this as a copy to the Mazingers, more like a "response" to them instead. The Koreans are very Patriotic and not having a Super Robot of their own that could compete with Japan would not be acceptable to them. You don't want your Korean children watching too many Mazinger Z episodes and not have Korea represented...

Sadly, the Korean guy(s) that came up with the Taekwon V idea, are pretty much a bunch of thieves! The blatantly stole it from Mazinger, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer... and then added a pretty crappy original head. Truly WEAK! That's why I passed on the diecast version. But I did get the plastic one, so my Go Nagai robots could use it as a punching bag. }D
