Just needed to be more subtle.

Think they used a dark copper to contrast with gold since they chose metallic,as you know half the time Grendy's horns are two tone and they are shown as yellow and orange..or yellow and deeper yellow..they resemble these..just darker..a bit too dark but..they are going for this . hmmm.. looks alright in cartoon form... but in toy form.. its not. it looks forced and awkward. they should have used spray to fade colors instead of 2 completely different colors on each horn. BTW i think this Grendizer wont have a big size robot figure like Great mazinger.. but instead its an insanely huge Grendizer inside a Spazer! the layout of the ramp and spazer cockpit is very obvious. AGREED.

Would've been more impressive if they didn't CGI'd the poop out of it.. I mean, the head has LED light-up eyes, right? Then why didn't they show us the real stuff, instead of this yellow bloom of doom effect?
Oh well. Still happy for the Grendizer fans out there.

I may be alone on this, but I think the best thing out of the Grendizer head, is how it actually shows the real pilot-to-robot cockpit proportion. IMO they screwed it up with Great Mazinger, as they made the Brain Condor way too big for the pilot. Mazinger Z's was almost right, but the Jet Pileder is a bit smaller than it should be. Anyway, I can't wait to get this one as well, and Mazinkaiser's head release should be coming up soon too! }D

Yeah, I would say they are about that size. Just pre-ordered another Jet Pileder/Mazinger Z head. Thinking about making a hug3 figure with it. }D

Mazinkaiser's coming too. I love the Kaiser Pileder transformation. Images courtesy of Taghobby.com Man... if only these were priced better or a bit bigger. I just can't bring myself to jump into the line as is. Gold

I think I should link that in the Dynamite Action figures thread as well. Their figures are, average, 17 cm tall, so 1 cm shorter than the GX-01R (more or less). They're decently sized, and most of them scale well with other SoCs

There's no way he's 16 cm.. I mean, the GX-45 was 16 cm tall, and even the original GX-01 was taller! In fact, I think the GX-01 was 17 cm.. and GX-01R was taller than that, 18 cm or so.. GX-01R+ is just millimeters shorter than the regular GX-01R, so still over 17 cm. Certainly more than 16 cm tall. And yeah, the Dynamite Action figures are in that range too.

Metal Action announcements boil down to 2-3 things: ET is going to release chrome version of the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger heads, called Hong Kong Limited "Plated Color" Version: Here's individual pictures: Then there's a shot of the Mazinkaiser and Grendizer heads. Both will sport LED light-up eyes (too bad the lights are blue, they should've been yellow): They're also making a black version of Great Mazinger's 80 cm body. Limited to 30 pieces though

Okay, this is how a chromed super robot part would look in real life... pretty horrible to me. However, they do look like pretty collectables, like the Max Factory Mazinkaiser, or the SOC GX-45 Atami Night Shin Mazinger, or the SRC Chromed Shin Mazinger and Mazinkaiser, or even the ET UFO Robo Grendizer. Beautiful for a display, but not so much as action figures (of sorts). BTW, I will try to get these... }D

Thanks for the info guys. Hmm... Looking at those busts pics together. Koji seems a tad too big compared to Tetsuya inside their respective c0ckpits. Unless Tetsuya's really cramped in there. Edit: After reading the description, the Maz Villains are Anime Export exclusives and limited to 300 pieces each?! EDIT 2: D'oh I just checked out the Revoltech/Evolution toys section and the Maz Villains are already released since April-May?? My bad. Gold
