I really have to let this sink in before I say I love it.It definately isnt anime accurate, but it is thr closest so far.The shoulders bother me,the ass ends of the lions, the shapes arent right. It looks a bit modernized to me.Something just doesnt look right.Hmmm.Im waiting to see what TMZ says... Oh Baron you know your buying this no matter what. The fact that it doesn't have chrome all over it should be reason enough lol.

I think that size is perfect to display with the bigger SOC's. I always thought the Toynami version never fit in, a little to big, a little to much chrome, a little less "refined" looking. The same goes for Vehicle Voltron but to a much lesser extent and it does fit in much better at least looks-wise. As for the little design differences its updated a little bit probably because this isn't a official product. Nothing hugely glaring but it won't be 100% anime accurate. Close enough for me but I do have a fond spot for Voltron. He will fit in better with SoC at that size. He won't fit in with my mattel and toynami voltrons as well tho...

Just curious though, those 3rd party transformers that are called different names than the original names, are they slightly different in model? What Im getting at is Transformers is a much bigger franchise, yet 3rd parties dupe teh designs and rename them. Why couldnt this be done with Voltron?
One thing Ive noticed in the past is that CMS most always changes the name of a robot just slightly,or with a hyphen,I wonder if that is liscensing hurdling?
Think about the CMs names for robots.. Ga-Keen for Gakeen,Barratack for Baratac/Balatac,Gyakuten-Oh and Sankan-Oh for Gyakutenoh and Sankanoh,Go-Shogun for Goshogun,Mechander Robo for Mekanda/Mechanda Robo,Combattler female pilot Nambara instead of Nanbara etc etc. i dont believe anyone has ever mentioned this point before about CMs or even noticed it,but Im sure its why they do it,and as a big corporation they are even doing it!!

Wow. Just saw this and it obviously made my day, only hope it happens. Looking forward to more info and pics!!
I wouldn't mind if Miracle Productions nor Dream EX is behind this, the mp-01 and the sd golion are both great figures. Granted vv could have used some better QC/fit&finish/paint and my only semi issue with the sd is the paint is a little heavy. Just today I was looking at dream ex fb page to see if there was any news on the sd vv and noticed the page was quite, seemed too quite

And it is also because Transformers is such a big franchise with so many series and so many variation of each character that they themselves, the license holders, can't make all the figures. In a way 3rd party company help out Hasbro and Takara official releases by completing their missing characters to fill the collection or giving upgrades to crappy official toys. The problem here is WEP. Because Voltron is such a small franchise and with so few rendition and characters, and so WEP keeps a closer eye out on who they can sue for copyright infringements. Now, they weren't able to touch dreamtoys small Goraion and I know it is most likely cause it is hard to sue dreamtoys cause they are base in HK.

Where did this news/pic come from?

So... is there any further news about this bot? Release date? Is it a "3rd party" gokin, or is it going to be an official release?
All of the advertisement are made in Japanese, so it may be a legit product... but all they advertise for the name is "King of Beast", and while we know that it's a moniker for Golion, the familiar Golion logo is nowhere to be found on that picture. Sculpt looks nice, and for the size, 21,800 Yen seems to be a good price. That's about the size of SOC Dancouga without his wing attachment right?

That's what I'm talking about! I've always wondered why til now, a 3rd party company hasn't made an attempt at a full-size Lion Voltron. Well, I welcome this one and it's about friggin' time! I'm open to just about any 3rd party Voltron offering since the Toynami and Mattel versions are so lacking. (Although I will admit, the only exception to those is the planned Jumbo Machinder Voltron by Toynami that CollectionDX covered. Still no necks on lions. *sigh* But this still looks a lot better than the Toynami MP Voltron. This definitely has my interest. Now who is preordering their Infinity Gokin Golion from Toy Freakz in hopes of getting a die-cast metal exclusive sword?

Guys... if you suspect this could be Miracle Productions, under a new company name, take another look at that logo up on the top left (Your left) side of that box, right up there that "steel plate" logo with the words Infinity Gokin inside the plate..... ....that steel plate logo design looks similar to the steel plate "MMW" logo on Miracle Production's VV box. Here's a pic for comparison ( I circled the logos with red circles)....... "Infinity Gokin"........ "Miracle Metal Works" Notice the similarity? I hope I'm wrong and just buggin out of my mind. But, I could almost swear this is MP's new identity. If so, more power to them, and I wish them success WITHOUT wep intervening with this production... ...because if wep Does find out about this and gets involved, I will be one mad wep-hatin Pissed-Off beeitch. Now... if this is to be the case, if you ask me, I would try Not to jump on pre-ordering this item until it is rock-solid certain that this will be available through a trusted retailer.... I'm just trying to help spare our brothers any heartache such as what happened with the VV. NO promotional Salesman Hype from anyone who might come on here claiming to have any "juice" with the manufacturer, What-so-ever. We've all been through that BS before. Not havin it again. Homies don't play dat! lol zozo-mag

26cm is just about 10 and 1/4 inches tall for those of you that were curious. In that case, this Golion figure would be almost two inches shorter than the VV... ...I think it would be in a good scale with the VV---- ---if we're gonna start talking about Robot Scale sizes again... no, please Don't! Not here not now! zozo-mag

I'm pretty sure CM's were given the licenses to make the toys. Some mecha have more than one official English spelling/stylization. About Nambara/Nanbara: some Japanese pronounce ン (n) with an "m" sound.

Not bad, this Golion will be msrp at 21,800 yen.
Today's rate: Y21,800 yen = $212 USD, in case some of you don't know the Yen to Dollar currency exchange rate. And, it also tends to change on a daily basis-- so, keep that in mind.

Maybe, but Ive never seen them written that way with the hyphen anywhere.Spelling ok,but adding a hyphen between the name's syllables makes no sense.I can see it done once, but its with several robots, too much of a coincidence."ga-keen?" no where will you find it written that way besides CMs google it youll see.

Good eye Magengar..Looks almost identical just a bit tweaked,..plus the free gift they are offering if it is them at least it looks like they are close to production from the photos From the way it looks on that box, that one had to be a "finished" prototype for the photo on that box. So, you're right, they appear close to production, as so it seems. Remember a certain individual mentioned that MP had other stuff lined up soon to come? I wonder if This is what that person was referring to. So, now the next question: what are the composite materials of this new Golion figure? On that box it sez ABS, PVC, and it looks like something else (diecast?) in addition to the material buildup of this new item. As for the free gift, I'm not gonna fall for it... as in, a "bonus diecast sword"... ...nnnnnnNope, not fallin for it. If it Does include a diecast sword, fans would go so buck-wild happy for it. But, I don't wanna even try to speculate that assertion at this time. lol zozo-mag

Baron, rest assured that CM's Corp robots in question are 100% fully licensed products. The problem is that the Japanese folks do not keep any consistency when translating names into English. Heck, If I remember correctly Bandai's SOC Danguard Ace had a name plate that read "Danguard-A."
