That yellow lion already has ears... They're just small tips on the sides towards the back of the head ( see the red arrow pointing to the yellow lion's ears, in this Toynami Voltron image) I also noticed, when the yellow lion forms the "leg", its shoulders extend to enable the Foot (the lion head) to pivot side to side like a human ankle. The blue lion will also have that same feature as well. That's good, so the GoLion can stand legs spread in a battle stance. That move is similar to the MA-01 VV's foot action when the jeep is attached to the lower leg vehicle. zozo-mag

(OFF TOPIC...)I still haven't been able to recover the data, but I will keep trying since it's an external USB hard-drive. Try TestDisk ( www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk) if you have the time, I was able to recover a good amount of data from a crashed external USB hard drive using this tool. Unfortunately I did lose a few files as they were far too gone, but I was able to get the majority of them. the first video is up guys It looks nice, I like how the rear legs fold up to hide the paws to make it more anime accurate. I'll unfortunately have to pass since I have the 1997 Trendmasters plastic one (with the tiny little pilots), and though I know it's nowhere near the best rendition, I can't justify upgrading it when there are so many other characters I need to get first!

Thanks for that software link, Ricecake! I'll give it a shot this weekend (I'm off on Sunday/Monday, plenty of time for me to do this)

----------------- Now, back on topic...... it seems Mad Toys is running a promo for an "early-bird" pre-order special that might include not just One, but TWO swords? ( At least that was the latest info I've read on their facebook page along with that yellow lion demo video.) Can anyone else confirm this? If that's the case, then for me personally, I'll pass on that early-bird special. I really don't need two Blazing swords; as long as the GoLion figure looks good and functions well with its transformations, I'm cool with it as it arrives. zozo-mag on their website they say if you preorder you will get two blazing sword also on their youtube channel and not to forget the promo pictures which say that, for me i might get it early before the price increase horriblely and it kinda nice to have two swords the first video is up guys It looks nice, I like how the rear legs fold up to hide the paws to make it more anime accurate. I'll unfortunately have to pass since I have the 1997 Trendmasters plastic one (with the tiny little pilots), and though I know it's nowhere near the best rendition, I can't justify upgrading it when there are so many other characters I need to get first! for me this is turning to be a must have the overall design is insane and ratchet joints everywhere, this will be the fourth voltron and the first Golion to me lol i just learned how to double quote

I totally hated Golion and Lion Voltron story lines. To me they were just dumb. On the other hand, I was hooked on Dairugger XV from the get go. Awesome story, enemies, and animation all the way to the end. }D i guess you hated it because you watched the american version, go and watch the original japanese show ONLY the 52 episodes show & then tell me if you still hate Golion, everyone watched the american version then watched the original show totally hated the american one because it was heavily edited but im sure most of you guys already know that I watched both, as I own the DVD collection of both, Golion and Dairugger XV. They are in original japanese with subs. The Golion story was a children story IMO. It did have cool battles, but the rest of the story was so boring it was unbearable. Dairugger's storyline was more mature. }D

The vintage Golion/Voltron had that feature. }D

Also, the chrome top of the Blue Lion's head pulls up to reveal a cannon as well. }D

Ah, okay... I didn't know the ears open that way to reveal any weapons. I never had any vintage Voltron figures other than the bulky Trendmasters Voltron, and my two beat-up Toynami Voltrons.

Yes those missile launchers are a must have. It won't kill the deal for me but it will leave me wanting. I'm now wondering if any of the lions have their built spring loaded weapons. I see the heads fire on the green and red but what about the missile launcher on the backs of yellow and blue, the shoulders of the black and the ears of yellow and head of blue.

I don't necessarily care for spring loaded missiles firing gimmicks on these type of figures, but since those weapons did appear in the anime, they should be included in the figure. Even if they don't shoot anything. }D

Yep, I'm looking for a toy accurate version as I haven't watched the cartoons since I was a child. I work with my hands to create things so the more detailed and functional the more stuff i have to appreciate. I personally want this to be as close to giving the feel of the original popy as possible and this guy is doing it for me to a point. Im a big collector of the vintage popy and the lionbot, the matchbox versions not so much due to the lack of pretty much everything cool. I would love to see versions of this done with chrome elbows and joints to give us collectors that feel of receiving an original popy with the chrome joints or the godaikin version with the half chrome joints or the red weapons or grey weapons, dull teeth or sharp teeth. This is what I would love to see a company do. Ive been seriously debating manufacturing a golion that captures the essence of the original. If this one is lacking some of these aspects it may push me in that direction a little harder, of course finances and time are a huge factor both of which I am limited on.
