Saw this at AE - Tamashi Stage - ACT Soul Of Chogokin www.anime-export.com/product/18419Not the light up stand that looked like a partial version of DX Maz that we saw at conventions. Are they making both or did they decide to scale it back and not do the lighting??

No idea but I think these took over for those light up ones. Probably would be cheaper going this route then the DX like one. I would get this for my big SOC's but I would have to buy at least 10 and I don't want stands that bad. It would look awesome all connected and have a row of the big guys though but be a major shelf hog.

I think they will go on clearance very quickly. Then you could buy as many as you want cheap.
I think the only people who will buy these will: 1. Only own roughly 1-5 SOC 2. Have no display case for toys in general 3. Mainly use a desk, shelf, or bookcase to display their items.
I think they would sell a little better if they were a bit more expensive and came with a plexiglass cover to encase the unit. That would be perfect.

That display stand looks nice... as in Versatile nice. Thanks for sharing that cool find. It doesn't necessarily Have to be specific to any robot category and still provide a nice way to stage items in your collection, whether it's a robot, spaceship, or a vehicle. You can set it up tastefully so as not to make the displayed robot appear to be out of its element... at least for the robots that do have their own original base hangars. Some robots are visually flexible with this; and others are not. It would be hard to envision Raideen displayed on this base, because he rests inside a God-head mountain; so in that aspect some robots Have to have their original bases, as Baron pointed out. As for Lights. Anyone who is into customizing displays can pull off an awesome setup with or without lights for this display stand. It would cost more to build lights into it. With the permeation of LEDs all over the world, you can soup up everything and anything to make it look better with just an LED or two or an LED strip. I like the mechanical texture of that stand; I could use that texture on my 3D objects. On that note, I'll shoot photos of my DX Maz hangar walls for use as background textures in my CG projects. zozo-mag

I think the only people who will buy these will: 1. Only own roughly 1-5 SOC Or they might own several, but most of them are the smaller ones which came with their own stands already. They seem to be interconnectable so you can attach them in rows. I have to say, these are way too pricy to be bought in bulk.
