Im looking at a GX30 Battle Fever right now.. seems MIB. About what is a GX30 going for right now and is it a desirable character? I know nothing about the live action shows or their characters, Im just wondering if I should "liberate" this thing and perhaps get it into the "right hands"...

I wouldn't pay more than $40-60 bucks...shipped. You should pay shipping of $10-15 max...if you are feeling generous.
I may get flamed for saying that, but I always see both sealed ones, and ones where just the outer box is open (contents sealed and never removed) sell for that much.
A couple times on eBay and other sites you still see them selling for $120 or more plus plus shipping but it is either fake sales or "hold the buyer hostage" pricing.
To me the figure is always readily available in most cases.
It's an outstanding toy that more people should appreciate. Every weapon is metal. Tons of accessories. One of the best SOC in my opinion and one of the best updated forms of an original character.
I don't own one yet but will soon if I ever get the feel for the line (I only own GX-53 at the moment).
Every time I go to shop for a battle fever though, I pass due to picking up another serious vintage buy and I always miss the $60 or less ones.
Good luck, I think you will love it.

I can't recommend Battle Fever enough! Out of around thirty gokin piece I own, it's in top three! One of the most under appreciated SOC.
Very playable, high quality gokin. He deserve to be freed and played with. It would be a waste of great toy to be boxed up...
I think I paid 80 shipped preowned. Worth every cent and more.

He has the diecast weapons, right? Every one of them.. That doesn't,t mean Battle Fever lacks in that department either. His chest, thighs, lower legs, and his head crest are all diecast. Chains in his forearms are of course metal.

I totally disagree with Mr. Ginrai. Good luck getting it at that price. It sounds like the price you are getting it at Gettershadow is awesome. It is an awesome figure and I have never seen it for the prices Mr. Ginrai suggests. Also, it is a decently heavy piece. Take that into account when purchasing.

It is an awesome figure and I have never seen it for the prices Mr. Ginrai suggests. Also, it is a decently heavy piece. Take that into account when purchasing. It is an absolutely awesome figure, and I was telling him to definitely get it. The problem is, it is very underrated, as greengetter pointed out. To the point where I think many people forgot about it or just don't have an interest in it because it's not a "super robot" SOC like a mazinger or Dancougar etc in most people's eyes. I, however, think it is a figure that truly defines what the SOC line was developed for and everyone should own one. I don't yet because I have been heavily focused on vintage for some time. I don't know where you are looking, but as far as my pricing, chachipower will agree with me as we had a discussion about this piece at the 2013 chogokin summit. This piece sells for well under what it actually should sell for and is probably the single greatest value of figure and diecast for your money in the whole SOC line. On eBay: Sealed, with 9 hours left - $90 shipped SAL (more if EMS) - no takers and has been relisted multiple times. One sealed in US sold in February for $90 free shipping and that's the highest I have seen one sell for in at least a year. This one is an exception in my mind. Another sold for $74.92 shipped from Japan (actual item price was $53.50) - contents sealed, outer box open. Another sold used in the US for $50.95 plus $16.85 shipping ($67.80) total. So if you take my highest recommended number ($60) and add $15 for shipping as I stated (assuming you don't buy it locally) my top range price is dead on, and as far as my low end price, sometimes you will have room to haggle or get a discount if you are buying local. Bottom line is that yes, he is getting it at a good price but it is the max for a local sale. This figure just hasn't been pulling good numbers in a long time and sells for pretty much what it cost brand new - I believe retail was 6300 yen in February of 2006. I wish this topic had come up a while ago because I had many expired auctions on my watch list from the last 8 months to a year and a half ago showing the toy consistently selling in the US, properly listed for the price range I quoted. They all ran in the $45-55 range plus inexpensive US priority mail shipping (keep in mind this is before the seller pays their eBay and Paypal fees on the item as well). There was a time before that where the $80 shipped domestic and international sales would sell maybe a couple a month, but not many. The worst one I saw sell was a mint sealed set sell for $34.95 plus $7.99 priority mail shipping on a bidding auction for an item in the US, properly listed. And I am 100% serious about it.

Its at a local shop and on hold for me until the weather clears up. Hes got 60 on it MIB but I have to actually take the figure out and check it and make sure everything is in there before I make an offer. Im not sure the figure is actually worth 60 TO ME, Im not really into that character, Ive never even seen the show...

I'm not into the show either, but the vintage figure and this figure are great. The people that are into it are into it for the figure.
If it has been opened, make sure you check it well, it comes with a lot of parts.

Its a great figure, and worth it at $60 in hand! Just keep in mind that its based off of a live action show, not a cartoon. So it does not have the boxy joints/limbs. Its based on a person within a costume playing a robot. But as mentioned, the weapons are all diecast. Soooooo nice.

I really like the fact that it has a proportioned head unlike highly stylized pin head SRC daizujin....
SOC BF looks like his on screen counterpart ..Perfect!

I almost bought this guy like 5 times,he is an awesome figure, only reason is he doesnt fit my collecting style or id have him.
Id pay 60$ all day long for him! If you get him for that or even 50$ be happy!!!!
You need an SOC in your collection Tom just to see how great they are. Many of us own Robots and dont know about teh character its inevitable as many of these shows have few episodes available, and almost none in english.I watch most of mine in Italian or Spanish,as my favorites are Jeeg/Gakeen etc.And NO subtitles. So dont let the character stop you! Grab him, youll be happy you did my friend take it from me.Then you will at least own one SOC just to see teh beauty if anything else, you will like him,and I want to see a good review on him anyway from you so there!.

It rained all day today, didn't really want to ride down there on my Beast and have him get wet in my backpack on the way back... I called them and they set him aside for me. I got ACME trained to call me as soon as they see a Japanese robot come in the door. he he Ill go check him out tomorrow.. if all is good then Ill bring him back with me. You want a review Baron?...I figured there were a bunch of reviews out there already. Is it that you want to hear MY REVIEW on him? he he If hes good Ill give him a fair shake. Really the only reason Im going for this one is Because its a SOC and its good looking and hes selling cheap. If it was 100 I would easily pass him up. There are really only 3 SOCs that I want.. Getter G Team! Getter G just "f**ks with my emotions" know what I mean? Especialy Getter Poseidon ...Poseidon plays with my emotions a lot when I see it...

Yes I want to see YOUR review,I like your reviews they are thorough, and I know you ! You dont mumble and you actually appear in them ...other than just a pair of hands.Facial reactions and body language etc are just as important as speaking when doing reviews, you got that down. And I think its funny when your girl chuckles sometimes in the background LOL.Just fun ya know?

yeah.. hahah I have fun doing them and I don't like the "just hands" either.. I feel if you cant really show your face then maybe I cant trust you .. know what I mean? That one of the reason I like Chachipowers videos too... he and I talked about that long time back.. Chachi on Rocketpuncharmy will do hands videos when hes working alone or focusing on a character real hard but then some of his videos hes talking directly to the camera... I like that, it feels more honest and trustworthy bc he is standing behind his reviews personally..
