Sharing some unofficial news of SOC, SRC, Metal Build and Gundam Metal Composite, that a Bandai representative contact of mine told me recently. In summary: Metal Composite Gundam - Sales of Banshee below expectations - No plans for another version of Metal Composite Banshee - No plans for Full Armor Gundam Unicorn Metal Build - Sales are doing very well for the MB series - ARX-8 response in Japan is very good. Pre-orders are fully allocated - ARX-7 may be next in line of ARX-8 sells well - Jetpack and additional weapons for ARX-8 to be Tamashii web limited item - Very early planning for Strike Freedom Gundam - No plans for a special version of Destiny Gundam SRC/SOC - Goldmarg is next in line. No disclosure of it being SRC or SOC. My guess is SOC - Genesic GaoGaiGar Gold ver will be this year's Tamashi Nations event exclusive. Whether it will be available as lucky draw or normal Tamashii web pre-order is yet to be decided - No plans for King J-Der or parts former to form the big figure (I forgot to mention this in my video) Note: These information came from a reliable contact who is a representative of Bandai. However they are unofficial and subject to change. Take it with a pinch of salt and let's see what official news get released for the rest of 2014. =)

Thanks for the info! I don't see a need for a Gold Genesic GGG, since there is no way in hell Bandai is gonna make a Goldion Crusher for it. Goldmarg should be a regular release, but I can also see it as a Tamashii Web release - but what would be included with it to justify the exclusivity? That's why I believe it will be a regular release. }D

So Bandai may be going by the safe route if they make a SRC Goldymarg, and that would be as a tamashii web limited figure. It does not necessarily come with any bonus or special parts. it can just sell as a figure on its own and since it's made to order, the risk on bandai is very minimal. anyway regular or limited release, both SRC and SOC Goldymarg will be on my buy list, if its true that either or both will be released. =)

I have a feeling that Goldmarg would be an src considering they released src GGGG and will release Gaofaigar, Bandai would have to officially announce the SOC Gaogaigar first in order to release SOC Goldmarg

Ohhh... possible SOC Goldy Marg... Hmm... If they make it, I wonder if the Robot mode scale can be used to fit in with the SRC GGG gang? Hmm.... if they ever do make a golden GGGG, I hope Bandai releases a papercraft downloadable Goldion Crusher file for it, like the missile accessory for Walker Galliar back in the day. Thanks for the info OptimusprimeSG. Gold

Anyway, thanks for the info Charles! Guess we won't be getting a banshee Norn then. Shame since I preferred its design to the reg banshee.

Still they've announced it though. They had a big reveal at tamashii nation event last year and even mag scans of the design process. It wasn't just a proto shown among others that may or may not come out it was the main announcement.

With Bandai, I'll believe it when I see it! Look at how many prototypes have been shown but never seen the light of day. To me, it is at an 80% chance of release at the moment.

Thanks for the news. But I want another DX SOC. Shhhhhhhhhhh! Don't SAY THAT! Between the 3rd-party Transformers and all these other chogokin toys being released left and right by Bandai and then Sentinel, we do need $$$$ for food and shelter, you know!??

I highly doubt that the Gundam Banshee did not meet expectations, specially in its home market. This figure was sold out in Japan.
The ARX-8 Tamashii Web Exclusive parts is a given. There is actually no news there since this is a common practice that Bandai performed with releases like the Scrandler for DX SOC Mazinger-Z, G-Falcon for the Robot Spirits Gundam Double X, etc.
If I remember correctly, there was a Gundam Fix Figuration Full Armor Gundam. Therefore, since the Metal Composite is a sub-line of the Gundam Fix Figuration, I do not see the point of re-releasing it for that sub-line.
a Jumbo size King J-Der kit was already released as a exclusive lottery release for WonderFest.
The other "news" look more like speculations that are truly to be taken with a barrel of salt.

Hahahahaha, given the choice it would have to be shelter over food to pay off another DX. I was thinking food over shelter but where do we display these awesome toys?

The Metal Composite Banshee is going for way below its MSRP (15,000 yen~) at Mandarake/Yahoo Auction, with many sitting there for awhile now. I believe that it is indicative of how well-received it was as compared to the MB Destiny selling in the 20-25k yen range.

Yahoo Japan Auctions is like eBay, many people buy the item at a store and then put such item on sale/auction hoping for a profitable flip. This is aftefmarket and it does not count. Mandarake also deals on used and aftermarket, so the same concept applies. Someone had to purchase this item from a retailer first and is trying to flip it.
