Yeah. I lost my job 2 weeks ago and I also got very sick. Not a good time for me. I am going to remake that piece and order the kit once again. Sorry to those waiting for this kit. On the plus side, once I get the kit, I can make a DVD with a complete tutorial. The new neck piece will be ready this week.

Ninjahandz... bro, sorry to hear about your job!!! And yeah, you got sick as well! That's just insanely crappy! Don't be pressured about finishing this project, bro. We know you'll get to it when you are ready. Baron. Shapeways sent me an email telling me that they could not print the neck brace kit because it was too thin for them. Weird, because we all saw it done for ninjahandz, and I ordered it in the same material and colors he specified. Don't know what happened there... }D

Just letting everyone that I am back on my feet after being ill yet again! I reworked my kit to fit shapeways printing guidelines and it seems we won't have any problems going forward with the production part. In fact, as soon as I get the new kit at the end of month, I will make a step by step dvd to go complete this project and make it available at a very reasonable price.
So yeah, the project is still alive and doing great. After this I have a full calender with a SRC OVA Boss, a Gekiganger conversion kit and a bunch of world smallest transformers. If sales do well and people back up these projects, I forsee many more in the upcoming years!
So hang on to your GX-07 Mazingers! The 2.0 conversion kit will be even better than before!

Dude Please do the Gekiganger so many of us want one!!!!! Would you base it on gz01 or Gx01r?

Neither. The base figure has to share as much in design with the final figure as possible to minimize part making. The gx-01 has the wrong feet, the lower legs cut flat at the bottom rather than arch. The pelvis is to different, the lower ab area has the missle gimmick that would be a pain to remove and the upper chest and head have to go for sure. So basically they only share the upper thighs and arms. Not enough to justify using that figure.
If anything the shin figure seems a better candidate. At least the feet are more boot styled than gx-01's upside-down cereal bowls and the pelvis section looks better. Not to mention the lower ab section is smooth and the missle gimmick is gone. Shin is also smaller, which means smaller and cheaper kit too

Sorry about that Baron. Didn't mean to sound like douch. What I meant was that I need to pick a body that works well for those who don't have much experience with custom work. Don't worry, I'll do my best to make everyone happy

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!
The new kit is here and its way better than the previous one. The neck piece is now a tad thicker and fits better. There's less curling and its easier to glue on.
For those of you who know how to customize figures, go ahead order the kit now and get working on it. All the hardest to make pieces are included in the kit. The rest can be made with some styrene rods, some putty and rhinestuds. Very simple stuff for medium to expert customizers.
For those who don't know how to aproach this project or just want an easy step by step guide, I will be making a DVD with a full step by step guide. I hope to have it ready by the end of October so start searching for a base GX-07 now!
Finally, to make things easier, there's now a main kit with most parts and a second kit with all the shackels. If you have styrene strips at home or want thin shackels, you won't need the second part of the kit.
This kit is now officially tested and fitted

Hey guys. Just a quick heads up. Shapeways notified me that starting October 7, they are going to change their pricing system. They say the new system will lower the price of about 85% of the models but guess what? I seem to be on the other 15%. Most of my models will now cost 3 and in some cases 4 times their current price. Models that currently go for $29 will now be priced at $109!!!!
What Im trying to say here is that if you are 100% sure you are on board with this project and maybe even have your donor figure in hand and ready, don't wait any longer and buy the kit now. As I said before, I'm working on a tutorial DVD and will share it with you guys sometime in October. Hopefully someone here will be able to host it online for everyone to download it for free. So thats it, just wanted to pass the price increase info to you so you can make the best possible decision.
I dont know what the new price will be. They just gave us some price samples in some materials but the full list of material prices will be available on the 7th.

SOON, VEEEEERY SOON!!! Wooooooow! That looks so nice it has to be seen Twice! Just look at the texture of them custom parts, like that chest-plate set... ...it really does look better this way with the individual colored separate parts, it looks much better than just slapping on some ordinary decal-work. The studs on the armor give it a really nice accent. Fans will love it! Great job with this project, Ninjahandz! zozo-mag
