i honestly dont know if the new gunbuster is a regular or a limited run but you should put the robot popularity in mind some figures are hard to find and when you find one the asking price is crazy even if its a regular release good luck with your hunting man Yeah man, but that's why Gunbuster is a priority to me, I remember when the original was hitting $700+ But when I get Voltes, I will need Combattler and Daimos because I'm a sucker. Voltes looks fantastic next to Combatler. And the first version of Combatler isn't that hard to find at a good price. (The v2 not so much, but the differences are not that earth shaking). Although Voltes vs Gunbuster is a tough call. I just got Gunbeuster a week or two ago, and damn he might actually dislodge Voltes as my favorite SOC (at least of the ones I own).

Or at least it seems that way depending on how interpret the term "Robot Romance". This is Japan we are talking about after all. But yeah like you Daimos is what I really need. I mean a Danguard Ace in scale with the others would be a treat, but I can work with what we got. It's Daimos that is killing me.

Daimos went on sale at one point to about $130ish. I remember this cause I snagged a second one as a birthday gift for my brother since it was his favorite super robot.

It's Daimos that is killing me. i actually collect classic super robots, and only robots i used to watch when i was a kid and in rare cases i get a figure just because of the design , i need Daimos too So a friend of mine got his reissue, interestingly, the box color is a bit different from the first release? could you kindly tell us which one is which lol not every one own both versions bro, so we can know what to expect Daimos eaby price is so darn ridiculous!!! Wish Bandai re-issue them or a 41th anniv special. it was Daimos 37th anniversary this late April so we hope to see any thing for him even its an R version or just regular reissue

Lucky you, I remember that day and until now I felt guilty for not buying one. I ended up buying from an ebay seller in japan who was kind to put a mini message & pix included with the package. It was loose/displayed but not played with and not as much ridiculous price we saw these days. Daimos eaby price is so darn ridiculous!!! Wish Bandai re-issue them or a 41th anniv special. it was Daimos 37th anniversary this late April so we hope to see any thing for him even its an R version or just regular reissue [/quote] Talk about timing, it all up to Bandai to once again mass produce this iconic robot!!!

I consider myself lucky. My wife managed to come up with a SOC "Volt in a Box" version for me for our Anniversary over the summer. (Which blew my mind... I only gave her a car.) I so much prefer the paint and deco on the Volt version. I know it isn't anime accurate but damn does it look gorgeous.

Problem is I know if I buy Voltes V Then I have to get Daimos & Combatler too. Which is not easy.. not right now. hmmm its not as hard as its sound bro get the GX-03 Combattler V its around $100 - $140 the, GX-50 is much better but it doesn't worth the Fewture price AT ALL GX-31 Voltes if you dont get one now you will have hard time finding or buying one so get one now when you can finally Daimos we HOPE that its his turn to get something new if that happen this will be AWESOME

+$400 for GX- 50 But thank you, man. Voltes V is just beautiful. GX-03 Is too old ? even if it's still new inside the box? idk. and hoping for Bndai to gave us Daimos again? and I know they will. And Gunbuster... This is my chance to own one right now before it's too late. the OVA was awesome!! I'm thinking too hard my head hurts. lol

Just curious what's an R version? For adults only as in Rated R? Kidding aside I was thinking if Bandai will reissue Daimos, Im guessing it will follow the 40th Anniv candy scheme. Like what they did with Mazinger, Aphrodi & Voltes V. Just a thought.

Even though we're going slightly off-topic, I feel like I should talk briefly about the works of the late Tadao Nagahama. For his wasn't a trilogy . It was a series. Commonly known by fans as the "Romantic Robots Series", it's comprised of: 1976's Chodenji Robot Combattler V 1977's Chodenji Machine Voltes V 1978's Tosho Daimos AND 1979's Mirai Robot Daltanious
Don't forget Daltanious guys, for it is just as important as the other 3 robots. Also, Nagahama worked on the second half od the Brave Reideen episodes, one ought to check them out too to have a complete picture of his works and ideas
P.S. yep, if Bandai reissued Daimos it wouldn't be bad at all.
