This was very helpful, as I am about to receive a Zambot in the mail next week. Good to know about these problem areas. Thanks for posting this!

I've never encountered any Serious damage to my SOCs yet (knock on wood). But if I should ever do suffer diecast damage, I'll be prepared with this... www.jbweld.com/products/surface-applications/metal/and this... www.jbweld.com/product/j-b-highheat/...the downside is that this epoxy sets Quickly, not enough time to work with it unless you've worked with it before and are quick at micro-sculpting. I sculpted a small cockpit dashboard the size of a Quarter, with this epoxy, in 5 minutes. zozo-mag I have been looking for that metal reinforced putty all over Singapore and Malaysia and I can't find it ordering from overseas seemed to be very expensive so for the time being I didnt use it. Wow, that's a bummer. There has to be a metal putty available in your region... ...it's mostly used to repair plumbing and some other metal materials. But also keep in mind that it bonds to other surfaces very strongly; I would only use it as a last resort if I run out of safer options to repair any diecast figure. It's okay to use it by itself for making small custom figurines and objects, but you have to work fast with it before it cures, because once it cures solid it becomes the final object unless you plan to make small chunks of it as "filler" for a larger mass material... ...or as ammunition for a sling-shot. lol zozo-mag
