As long as it makes you happy, that's what counts, right? For me, maybe at some point a company will make a Dinobot that I absolutely must have. Until then I'll keep waiting. After all, there are 9 different companies making Dinobots so far, right? Eventually something has to stick, haha.

Exactly, cause $103 plus shipping to me isn't chump change. I lost count after 5, didn't realize there were nine companies at work on these. In any case, we see lots of product ads but they are slow to release them. Wondering which ones will reach the Bargin bin cause sometimes it isn't always about the coolness factor, I'll bite if there is a bargin. Save it for my son or give it away to my nephew if I don't like it.

I'll get pics up later this week. I was a fan of the first one already. I was keen on him partly due to him also being the only dino bot I liked. Then the 2nd one that just came out was too awesome in person. Its actually much better. Seems tighter, and heavier. It actually seems to be off scale. I think the first one maybe should had been 5-10% larger to feel right. They look good together, but now the first one seems small.

From Tony (Chimungmung) : Anyone got some of these here ? I passed on them (damn !) to focus on MP sized Dinobots... But I admit the linup is cool... I have all three. Volar is in my pile of loot with MMC FeliSabre. I will probably have those shipped to me next week. Was gonna wait for Apollyon but that one got pushed to May. My initial feeling on this line was negative. Columpio (Sludge) looks good but was poorly made in comparison to older FP products. I love the sculpt and the aethetics of the figure in both modes but the loose hips and elbow joint, along with the hands not being able to grip the weapons correctly made me really disappointed. But I went to a trade show and purchased Cubar (Slag) from ToyArena. I got him because I found out that Volar was gonna come with an extra Blue body and fixes for Columpios hips. And it wasn't until I transformed Cubar and set it next to Columpio that I was okay with the set. By itself, Columpio is weak but when surrounded with the rest, it makes for a really nice display. Also the hip fix are nice in that it's a ratchet type hip joint. The original one is a big ball joint and socket. The way I feel about this lost Exo realm set now is to the point where I don't feel like I need the MP Style Dinobots. And honestly if Gigapower wasn't making MP Dinobot, I wouldn't even consider getting any cause the FT version just don't tickle my fancy.

My excitment to FP products fade a bit away... Their Roadbuster was a big disapointing for me. Diesel was too : ok it's a big engineering challenge but killed the fun. Only Maketoys keep the same level (design+enginnering+quality, etc...).
Then 3rd MPs give me a real flavor to catch... (waiting Maketoys versions now).
I am a bit nostalgic of what FP gave us with their UM and Rodimus. -> totally agree with Maz about City Commander beeing the real starter for "3rd party movement". Also very tempted to get some Warbotron and UT Abominus... C'mon, they are big ! These FP Dinobots looks great but something is bugging me, I don't know what...

FP has definitely lost their Wow factor. They used to be "the" 3P company but everyone else has somewhat catched up and some have even surpass them. To me, the one knock on these FP dinobot is the quality. The plastic used isn't as nice as the older FP type toys. Comparatively MMC figures at similar size and price are much better in terms of the quality. Additionally, I don't think any one of these Lost Exo Realm figures are strong enough as a stand alone. I did kinda gave up on the line after getting Columpio and was dissapointed. But with Cubar next to him, and soon to join them, Volar, the display is starting to look nice. I guess the commitment of having to buy a couple of figures from the line is also a deterrent. Mostly because there are competition between the many companies and there are so many options available could be what bugging you. I never understood the mentally of collecting just MP or Classics. Likewise, the need to collect every single G1 character or restricting to only buying characters from season 1&2 and not the newer guys. My style has always been, I go for whichever one looks best and is the best representation of the Character that I want. That's my reason for not wanting the FT Dinobots. They looks too blocky, to cartoon like. So for those collectors that like Cartoon style FT is perfect for them. Also, I don't like the FT versions because of the face sculpt. To me, they just don't have the "wow that's cool" and the "gots to have it" design. Also, I am not a big fan of figures looking too much like the G1 cartoon because I find the animation to be really dated and lazy/simple. I like more of the modernizing the G1 characters. I see MP-10 as more of a modernizing of the Cartoon version, just like Apollyon. There are more details and better proportion versus the blocky looks of the simplified cartoon.
