Hi guys,
I've always wanted a Tetsujin 28, but wasn't sure if there were any differences between the GX-44 and GX-44S. I don't care much for the Black Ox figure, but more interested in the differences in gimmicks, paint apps, build, etc.
Any advise would be great, as It'll make my decision making process easier.
Thanks in advance guys!

Unlike the SOC Reideen, there is no difference in the Tetsujin 28 figure from the GX-44 to the GX-44S. Only the addition of the Black Ox. }D

I've been wanting to pick up a GX-44 lately myself. Just waiting for Mandarake or Jungle to get one in so I can get him at a decent price. The Ebay prices are pretty out of hand.. How's the Dynamite Action one? I could get him for about $100. cheaper, and he is supposedly about the exact same height. I know you miss out on the diecast, but I'm sure he'd be pretty much indistinguishable sitting on my shelf.

I can't say about accessories, since I only have the GX-44S. But as far as the Tetsujin 28 figure, they are exactly the same. }D

And I have great pride in my figure to this very day. Forget the Dynamite Action one.

For some reason that figure is very hard to get on the secondary market,it never comes up in USA listings,or Anime export sales so I never see one other than from the Japanese ebay sellers like cherrytab and his other 3 names etc. who dont ever actually have teh item in stock they make you pay and then look for it,I got their number. And they are always used.Be careful.

I'm praying for a gigantic Tetsujin thus would be the figure of all figures I. The doc lineup. Was the gx44 a soc or an src sold as an soc. I am not too fond of it myself seeing I have an vintage one I'm too scared to touch, it would very nice to have a large version at least as big as the original and with all the weight an articulation a modern soc would have. I don't know why Bandai didn't make tetsujin as big and bad as the others. It Is Known As The Grandaddy Of The All The One You Must Have For Godaikin Collectors Yet Bandai gave us The Runt Of The Litter Version. They had to do that on purpose knowing they would be flooring us one day with the biggest baddest heaviest SOC of all time the two foot tall fully articulate 70% die cast 30 percent alumin tetsujin 28... oh wake me up I'm dream writing again

Forget the Dynamite Action one. those pics are beautiful. looks like the paint is glossy or chrome. however the pics of the tetsujin from the black ox set look like it's more of a matte finish. see: www.collectiondx.com/review/chogokin/tetsujin_28_vs_black_ox_setam I seeing things? are they the same? what kind of finish is it really?

It's a pearl metallic with a glossy finish. One of the better paint jobs on a SOC in fact.

Thanks to Lejam, I was able to purchase this outstanding piece. Chen is correct, the paint work on this is amazing, as most Bandai SOC's share. If you're looking for a Tetsujin 28, this is the figure to own. Almost 85% diecast too.
