Does anyone else's combattler figure have difficulty with stability? I can't seem to get mine to stand without fearing it topping over. The ankles seem unstable. Perhaps I'm not "clicking in something correctly?

Hi guys,
So after allot of fussing and fidgeting with the figure, I was finally able to pose him in a fairly neutral stance. I bought mine brand new & unused so all the joints are tight. Not sure if its just mine, but the ankles are very loose. Almost wanting to tip forward if I try to stand him up.
But so far, so good.
Thanks again!

BTW, both of you guys have sweet collections!!! I've just begun collecting, but tons of things already on my "need to buy" list. I will say, this hobby is not forgiving on the wallet.

And you are right its not a poor mans hobby, but you may become one when your done! LOL!! The only way to really do ok is get stuff on preorder so you dont have to pay exhorbitant prices on the aftermarket, but in the case of new collectors getting a back catalog together can be very tough $$$.Older SOCs can be found at good deals at Anime export one of the only places to still find new or mint older SOCs which pop up almost daily. Good luck collecting before you know it,if you stick with it,it will be very rewarding when you can sit back and look at all the Robots youve massed over time! I know I never tire of looking at my collection.

I don't even want to think how much money I spent on my collection, but I'm sure it's easily in the tens of thousands of $$$! Yikes! Let change the subject, please! }D

I've definitely learned my lesson to get things on pre-order. So far my dancouga GX-13 R & combattler GX-50 cost close to a thousand bucks. Now I'm after the Voltes volt in box which is impossible to find at a reasonable price. But like you guys said, the day will come when I'll be able to enjoy my collection. Definitely looking forward to the SOC GGG, and Sentinels Dancouga.

Yes, Voltes V in mint condition is impossible to get at a reasonable price. Lots of bidders for these mint items, I am content with my loose 82 Godaikin Voltes V... I think I got mine @ around 500... It does the trick and brings back fond memories all the time... I agree with Baron and TMZ that its not a poor man's hobby so I choose my purchases carefully as I cant afford them all... I always have to fight the itch to pre-order them all... Since I have the GX-03 and the GX-50 is sooooo expensive, My GX-03 will have to do... (until bandai re-issues the GX-50)

And the next lesson you'll learn is to not look on ebay. Those HK sellers are just out to rip people off.

I agree. You are going after hard to find pieces but you've got to be patient and shop around. That's a lot of coin to drop just on those 2 pieces.
The good thing is that you are actually seeking out pieces you want and will enjoy instead of spending more money on stuff you really don't like/need.

Yes, I am beginning to understand patience is the key to finding good prices. Something I have very little of.

Thanks Baron. I will be checking them on a timely basis as currently things seem to be sold out. Their prices seem very reasonable as well, unlike inflated eBay prices.

You should post a pic of it so we can tell if there's any obvious issue regarding the stability.

Yeah. It is difficult to ascertain from pics, but we're just looking for something obvious that might be noticeable. You can try the duplicate the poses found in this old toysdaily thread with your gx-50 to see if it holds up better: toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-117944-1-1.html
