I posted all but the SOC,Chachi posted all but the Aoshima.I dont own the SOC or I would have posted all 4 main ones.I never got around to getting the SOC,as its really kind of fictional.Ive heard it called a mix of the OVA,the manga and other designs. Was thinking about still getting it,but I have enough of him I think.TMZ likes it best i think,i feel the Aoshima is still best in the looks dept.
I also feel the sentinel is the worst,it looks good but articulation mixed with the plastic gives it a negative Revoltech kind of feel to me,the cape being cloth I do like though even if it doesnt make sense i like the articulation of it with the wire..
Over articulated figures never stand well, and seem to look off in the end.As my wife says when she picked it up it felt as if it w3as going to fall apart.I agree with that some how.

Oh, I like the Aoshima as much as the SOC GX-52. The head of the SOC is more anime accurate, but the Aoshima's is not bad either. I like the Sentinel version, but just not as much as the Aoshima or SOC. Might be because the big ears and short legs? I'm not sure. When I get my SRC version, I'll see how it stacks up to the others. I never use reviews to form my opinion. I use reviews to find out what not to "bend" or "force" too much, so I don't break or damage my figure. I'll let others take the risks with their stuff, then I'll simply walk away with the knowledge. }D

I have a Aoshima, SOC, Sentinel, and SRC and honestly I like the SOC the best. It doesn't stand out in any particular aspect but like most Bandai stuff it's very good in most categories.

The SRC to me looks just like a scaled-dowm version of the SoC, their looks are really similar... same head sculpt, same proportions... it's just a matter of choosing 1) better poseability or 2) more metal content.
The Sentinel one is peculiar: alright it's lightweight and may feel brittle (haven't handled one), but its proportions are interesting: it looks "buffer", thicker than your regular Getter 1. It's got a meaner look, but overall I don't really dig the small head and the fat legs and body all that much.
Aoshima one doesn't really look like the Getter 1 from the OVAs, it's too "skinny" hehe. But I'm sure it has its charm.

yeah basically:
- Aoshima is too thin - Sentinel is too fat - SOC is balanced but is ugly - SRC is almost perfect
The only thing I dont like about the SRC is the angle of the lines on the lower legs. The angle should be wider, but you can always repaint it. All the rest is wonderful

preoed Black getter from NY for $77 shipped to US. Chachis review clinched the deal. getter 1 looks so good in his review but i think Black and grey looks better. the black getters head sculpt is fierce.
i chose pay later option.

Got my SRC Getter one. Kinda lightweight. I think the only diecast parts are the legs. Couldn't compare with any getter since this is my very first getter. Was planning to get the SOC before for a good price but somebody beats me in buying it. It just disappeared. Back to the src. it looks good. the figure is not off model. feels good to have my first getter, looking forward to black getter so I can put the big guns on him. Anyone know when it is coming out?

ok. i just got it, and played with it for about 30 minutes. i love it. it's very stiff and posable. its a good size. it looks wide and bulky in comparison to maz-z /great maz. the tomahawks are massive and deadly looking. and the amount of articulation this thing has is ridiculous. SRC is by far my favorite line of figures. they keep knocking it out of the park.

Nice but on the "short" side. Oh, and pulling the cockpit peg to attach the cape was a beeetch!!! }D

yes. he's short in comparison to beasts like genesic ggg and especially mazinkaiser. but its width and bulkiness make up for it. i didn't have any trouble at all putting the cape on, removing the lil pin in the back took a second though.
only one small nitpick is i wish they had found a better way to alternate from getter beam ready, to getter beam firing effects. having to pull out the entire belly to swap parts is annoying.
and I CANNOT WAIT for black getter. after seeing this, i know black is going to be exquisite.

Nah, too short to hang out with the rest of the Nagai gang. I guess the Sentinel's will have to stay after all. But no worries... it will be displayed with the Shin Getter and upcoming Black Getter on their own. }D

Nope, Getter 1 looks ridiculously small next to the other Nagai Super Robots. It should be as tall, or even taller than the SRC Grendizer. But, yeah... that's because I'm a real stickler. So, no, it will not displayed together in my collection. }D

are you measuring against SOC figures? i cant figure out what makes you say that getter is smaller than a SRC?
I have maz-z and great maz... and getter is taller than both. mazinkaiser towers over all other SRC so thats notma fair comparison, and i haven't measured against grendizer... but if anything they are even in height there is no way he's ridiculously smaller.

Jaylive, the SRC Getter 1 IS ridiculously small when conpared to the other Nagai SRCs. Period. I'm happy you like it just the way it is, but I like to maintain scales as much as I can. So, it has been banned from the Nagai group. . It will be with SRC Shin Getter and SRC Black Getter by thenselves. }D

So, it has been banned from the Nagai group. . It will be with SRC Shin Getter and SRC Black Getter by thenselves. }D Oh come on TMZ, I didn't know you were "one of those" you know, one of those who cared about proportions in Super Robots. I mean, doesn't matter if you look at the SoC line or the SRC one, proportions are not kept: SoCs Trider and Zambot are almost as tall as SoC Daitarn... but Daitarn should be almost 3 times taller than his "brothers". Another example, SoC Mazingers are more or less 18 cm tall, all of them, which basically makes them 1:100 scale (true Maz is 18 meters tall). But data says that Great Maz is 25 meters tall and Grendy is 30 meters tall. Then why are their SoCs so small, when compared to the 01R for instance. Or even GX-01R and GX-06. Mazinger Z and Getter 1. They're both the same height, in toy form. But if you wanted them proportioned, you'd either need a 9 cm tall Mazinger, or a 36 cm tall Getter 1. That's why I don't really care about proportions not much, at least.
