Come on... a figure is definitely on the small side when it is smaller that the SRC Reideen!!! For the record, I don't take seriously the Super Robot Wars / Banpresto / Mazinger Bible claimed proportions because they are crap, and not what the creators of these characters had in mind. I get more technical and go with "pilot to cockpit" proportions instead. But that's just me. And yes, I do like to keep the figures in their respective correct (pilot to cockpit) proportions as much as possible. But, this is way off topic, so time to stop. We all have our preferences. }D

I guess they wanted him to be in scale to Shin Getter so when in te future they do a Getter Dragon it would be in correct proportion to each other. So its a possibility that Getter Dragon if made it could be the size of the SRC Grendizer.

But, if they are focusing on just the Getters like you mentioned, it is a perfect sized figure. An SRC Getter Dragon would be sweet, and the Armageddon quartet would be complete! }D

Let's see... black getter, getter trio, getter g trio, shin getter trio... 10 figures. I WANT BANDAI TO MAKE ALL 10 OF 'EM IN SRC FORM!

Ehem... what SRC Getter Trio - no such thing will ever be. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you'l be at peace. So, let's see: SRC Shin Getter 1... one SRC Getter 1... two SRC Black Getter... three Future and most likely to see the light of day - SRC Getter Dragon... four QUARTET!!! }D

You know, the more I look at the SRC Getter 1, the less I like that horrible waist. And here I thought the Sentinel versions had horrible waists... Yes, even the Revoltech Getter 1 has a better designed waist... }D

I know. The "ones" sell, Bandai won't bother giving us the twos and threes. It's not like people don't want 2s and 3s. Nobody is making them, there's obviously demand for those. Bandai, or any other manufacturer, could just produce less, knowing that they'll sell less than their Getter 1s and Dragons. But they'd sell nonetheless.

I have always said that the figures that do not "sell" well, but still have potential, should be Tamashii Web Exclusives. That way, there is minimal risk, as they will only make as many as are pre-ordered / pre-paid. }D

Especially forums. I doubt any of their japan-employees are even allowed to visit/lurk on Japan-based forums and japanese blogs.

go with "pilot to cockpit" proportions instead. But that's just me. }D nope. youre not the only one.. actually its the best way to scale your super robot toys. make sure u have one robot in your collection to make it as a base of scale reference. i made mine, gx-01r's pilder pilot cockpit as base of scale reference. koji's the most well-known character who's always shown either riding or standing beside his pilder. its a given that some creators tend to exaggerate specifications to make it more wicked and appealing to kids (also perhaps to outdid a rival creator or company).

That's a really weird design choice. Couldn't they have just had a pop-out joint for the ankles if they wanted it to have good ankle articulation? Why would they mold the lower legs to be in a permanent idle pose? The leg articulation is pretty disappointing in this SRC in my opinion. Even with the extenders there is little forward and back range, and the swivel at the top of the leg is non-existent at least in my Getter.

If all goes well, I should be able to get mine this Saturday... This figure has been a bit controversial for me. I want to get it, because overall the pros overcompensate the cons. It could have definitely looked better. Talking about the inflated belly and the slanted legs here, the rest is fine. Also, it could have had some more diecast, maybe some in the upper area, instead of just the legs. But again, it's better than having no metal content at all. Also, the figure is more stable this way. price is not too high, and that's a good thing (at least, I hope I won't have to pay too much when I get it) because it was either this one or Sentinel's. And Sentinel's isjust too expensive for what it is. For me at least. Need a Getter 1 and Black Getter 1 set? If you could only buy one, would you go for the Sentinel set or the SRC one? That's what I thought... Even if Sentinel's Getter looks better overall, albeit a bit stylized in places. Tsk, I had to make a choice. This is gonna be my first SRC. And not only that, it's gonna be my first Getter figure, believe it or not, hehe.

OMG SO TRUE blutengu !! one of my legs took the MOST force i ever used on a toy to swivel it. As ive said from the beginning with my first SRC Great Maz I think it was, these SRCs have TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE,leg issues. The round ball joint hip socket balls SUCK SUCK SUCK.Never liked the design, never will, just too sketchy. Some work, some dont, some are loose as hell, some WAAAY to tight, some wont go a certain direction or angle,NEVER are both uniform, god forbid!. Sorry disagree with me those of you who can never say anything bad about Bandai if you like but its the total truth. Its not just MY unlucky one or two SRC,I have many many SRCS and they basically all have some sort of ball joint hip issues..OR will some day, awful design! The only ball joint hip design worse is on Max Factory Mazinkaiser. I hate Revoltech, and id rather have their whack joints in there.Been waiting for someone to say something, been wanting to vent on this forever.
