Mods, feel free to merge this with the Robot Spirits thread and/or move this to the appropriate sub-forum if I posted it in the wrong place.

I wouldn't worry robot spirits base line has nothing to do with SRs anyway.mostly garbagedam.

Considering how slow SRC releases have been, I wouldn't be surprised if Bandai merged it with the RD line. Just like how D-Arts was merged with Figuarts.

I'm hoping this line doesn't start with a gundam, but most likely it will. Surprise me Bandai surprise me! I'd assume this will be a good opportunity to give real robots some gokin love. I know NECA still has the pacific rim license, but this could be a good way to get some nice jaegars with metal.

Well, FWIW, I would not mind some of the Gundam mecha released in the RS line get some gokin treatment. But, I'm also a huge sucker for diecast...

Cool, something new to bring us suprises... (or duds maybe) Ill put my life on DUDS!.Gundam guys like kits,so keep it that way.I own one Gundam a Robot spirits RX-78 just to have a representation, but most real Gundam lovers are kit builders,so who is gonna buy these? I certainly wont. Id say fine Bandai do what you ant but give us our SORELY needed back catalog, how hard is it to do the SRC Mazinger weapons 2 set? I mean they did one for MUCH lesser characters! Just saying there is much they need to finish before adding crazy new unnecessary lines.Maybe its cuz I dislike the characters those lines bring forth,I dont know.all I know is I could list 10 things Bandai could make RIGHT NOW that would sell like HELL!

Not all hardcore gundam fans like myself prefer just buying the model kits otherwise the robot damashii and metal build figure lines would have all disappeared along with the dodo. I believe most fan's entry into gundam involves some model kit building, but then they start exploring different types of merchandise like the fully completed action figures because they'll be a lot sturdier than a kit and they'll display very well. And hey if this line doesn't appeal to you that's more money saved for other products. Besides even if they start this line with a gundam, the robot damashii line has other mecha franchises to choose from. Who knows maybe will see some more obscure real robots from the 80s.

Yeah, there were few i wanted to pick up but Damashii figs are mostly PVC vinyl...so i refused.
If they add some diecast then im gamed. Like the metal panic mechs and gurens. And few canon fodder bad guy gundam as well.

Id love to see more obscure 80s robots in any line as that is what Im exclusively about, but it wont be done by Bandai thats for sure.Maybe in the SOC line,I expect a few more but i HIGHLY doubt anywhere else in their lines.

Considering how slow SRC releases have been, I wouldn't be surprised if Bandai merged it with the RD line. Just like how D-Arts was merged with Figuarts. I had the same train of thought. Really though this makes no sense. If folks want diecast gundam we've got the Metal build line for that.

I agree with the El Dorado V wanting...though I'd rather have it as El Dorado V as opposed to El Dora Soul...then agaiiin....having three versions (dull w/o backpack unit, Bright colors, Gold) would be nice too...

Really though this makes no sense. If folks want diecast gundam we've got the Metal build line for that. Metal Build line is for 1/100 releases, which are equivalent in size to DX Chogokins. RD is more along the lines of 1/144, or 5-inch figures. I also don't like how everyone in this thread is stereotyping the RD as "just Gundam". The RD line has far more variety than any of Bandai's other mecha lines, including SRC. Gundam releases only make up like 30% of the line. The rest is dedicated to older series like Dunbine and Vifam as well as newer series like Code Geass, Full Metal Panic, and Evangelion Rebuild. And it keeps on expanding- we'll be getting Dragonar figures soon too! Quite frankly, I don't really care that much for metal on such a small scale or on those 70's retro robot designs like Mazinger or Grendzier, which is probably why the SRC line was somewhat of a pass as a whole for me other than several designs.

i wouldn't be surprise if is a Gundam figure with diecast that will start this metal line version, while indeed the robot spirit line was heavy on the gundams and a couple of Super Robots here and there, it was much a friendly line for those that don't have the skill of painting or time for building the model kits version, this was much more of a affordable line and the figure was already done with the same articulation like a model kit versions, the only difference is well there smaller (SRC size comparison) than the model kits counterparts and are fully painted and build.
im expecting to see some Cybuster and Virtual On robots in this as well.

While it's not entirely Gundam Suits the entire line is 90% based on the Gundam franchise. You get a few curve balls here and there but the main focus of the line is Gundam. Like Figuarts is mainly Kamenrider but they break things up every now and then.
