All I say is that it is not fair to give ANY item that you don't have a bad review. Checking it for a few minutes does not count. For example, I don't like expensive (high performance) cars, but I don't say they are disappointing. I just say that I don't like them. You can't say a particular car is trash because you did one test drive on it. Just be fair. And for those that want a professional opinion (not mine) on the ET ALBEGAS, go check this out: www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/2014/albegas}D

hehe i dont think its just a few minutes.. maybe a good 15-20 minutes?? lol seeing, holding it, touching it, inspecting,, what ever u want to call it.. if thats not enough like buying it.. well to me its enough. anyway i buy my toys carefully,, so there will no regrets in the end. well coz i dont much that money to burn really.. hehehe,, actually i already read that review before checking it out myself. ive read some not so good comments regarding this release.. so i had to be sure before buying. and im glad i did not. but to tell u frankly,, i also consider getting it if ever it comes out at sale price... but back then the price just wasnt justified. if it doesnt.. well....

Hmm... not sure what to make of this. It's great that we're getting a new Laserion but Evolution Toys hasn't really impressed me. Anyone know if their Daikengo is good? Gold Baron has it. He talked about it in the ET thread. Oh, thanks! Gold

Revolver, I totally undetstand what you mean. But I think you are missing my point. We can like or dislike the figure, but that does not mean the figure itself is not good. I bought a Mint in Box SOC Tryder from Baron not long ago. When I got it and started messing with it, I realized it was an amazing figure. However, for some reason, it just did not warm up to my taste. I don't like it. But I don't believe that means I can honestly say the figure is disapointing. Is just that, I don't like it. But like you said previously, we all have our opinions. }D

yup.. ofcourse there are also some good points for ET Albegas.. like.. finally.. theres now a version thats not .. a BRICK. it fully poseable! and it now has improved proportions too... plus that mini abega ship.. so cute. i dont dig much in regards to poseability.. i go for gimmicks.. how they translate that from animation cell robot into a toy. ETs Big Dai X is cool enough for me. almost like straight from the show. i like it. about that disappointment..where it came from..well.. im was hoping it will be better in terms of combining and transformation aspect. how was it?? i guess the old DX version's transformation is already that good, that its almost anime accurate. but bad in terms of proportions. i guess seeing too many parts swapping in those reviews plus checking it out personally.. made me say that. was i.. just expecting too much for almost all plastic, allmost 200usd toy? but then..maybe its just me. coz youre right, we all have our opinions.

i have the old DX version. and the ET version.. i managed to inspect and check it first hand.. not satisfied.. so i didnt bought it. there u have it. Oh, I also have the Godaikin version AND I ALSO have the ET version. I didn't just inspect it, I own it. Big difference bro. Baron, what do you think about the ET ALBEGAS. You have TWO of them... }D I love the Albegas !! Especially having 2,they look great displayed as a whole and in 3 robot mode,it just completes it for me. Tthe only Et I didnt like was Gaiking as you know,it is subpar compared to the others..its floppier,,,and I hate vintl,HATE IT,the Daiku Maryu bent at the knees when Ihad it displayed, its great shelf presence, nothing else. Here is the issue in a nutshell. You have to look at ET toys without thinking price OR comparing to SOC. Its similar with Revoltech for me,but A.I dont like them because they are cheap, and I dont dislike them because they are not as good as SOC,its because they are just junk,I dont let the low price influence me in whther I liek them, just like the high price of ET doesnt influence me in disliking them. I like ET because I just do,I dont compare them to SOC nor do i think about value,I look at them as a toy, overpriced or not,i like them as toys.I like the characters, the transformation, the sculpt and the paint.I love diecast as much as the next guy,but If collecting SRs was for diecast,Id just collect Matchbox cars instead! For me its the characters.I wouldnt discrad them if SOC put out the Robots missing in their line that ET makes, they are just different versions.

Why are the ET releases so expensive? I own ET Albegas and while I neither hate it nor love it, it's only satisfactory to me because there is not anything comparable to fill the void of an SOC/CM version of this beloved character in my collection. What truly gets me is the price. I've never owned an ET product before I bought my Albegas, so I had nothing to compare the experience to. Why are these little figures $225 for what they are? Many of you say do not compare them to SOC/CM which I totally understand. But my opinion after I experienced my ET Albegas was that this was no way worth $225.
So back to my original question, why does this company charge so much for something that has the same price point or more compared to SOC/CM? Is it because they can get away with it and we keep buying no matter how much the price is set at? Is it licensing? What is it?

Ok Ive heard Bandai owns ET,and the ET line is sort of a testing line,to see if they can sell these at that price etc,if this is true,it could mean a bevy of things,a market test, testing if certain characters will sell,etc..If that is the case WHY arent SOCs being sculpted this damn good!LOL.
Also either way ET cant possibly me making a ton of these, and they know that if they make certain characters that havent been made, they will sell, they add popular ones to the line to to keep it appealing to the average SR collector.
Just a few thoughts to mull over.

hmmm.. i dunno.. kinda doubt about supposedly Bandai-ET tag team testing certain characters,, otherwise ET wont attempt making thier own Danguard Ace or Shin Jeeg. or perhaps its just a front.. to make it look like another company... or just a sister company.. or bandai's just being there as a consultant. theories..theories... anyone's here a rep from ET??

Yeah well they also did GodMars,Testsujin etc etc they are SOCs too, remember these are nothing like SOC,not meant to be better or worse just different.I dont think they look at it that way...

now that u mention the others.. going up against an already certified cool version by a proven toy giant company. thats a very brave move actually.
or this..its a longshot... they are initially just makers of ball-joints,,got a warehouse full of it.. decided to level-up and join the toy robot making industry. the rest is history. lol

Looking at my Popy Laserion DX, I wonder how ET is going to approach this.
And to answer folks question, ET Daikengo is good. Unfortunately Big Dai X does suffer a lot of quality issues.
