I'm 39 and currently have 3 SOCs -- GX-31, GX-45 and SRC Shin Mazinger. Left on my wish list are Daimos and Danguard. I collect pieces that are connected with my childhood.

Nice idea Baron. But if you ask me, this should have a poll, like:
10-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 older
Just an example, so we could clearly see the graph of the average age. What do you think?
Now, my turn I guess. I'm 20, and I've started collecting just a few months ago. As of now, I possess 2 SoCs and 1 Chogokin figure, planning to get more in the near future. I've started collecting robots and watching robot shows almost at the same time, when I discovered "the whole thing", and found out that I loved the concept.

I'll be 31 in December, less than two weeks to go! Been collecting since I got my first robot when I was 3. Not going to stop either. :-)

I'm 37. Been roughly "full-on" collecting since 2002 (Marvel Legends), then moved onto Transformers - Robots in Disguise, before finally biting the bullet and getting into collecting high end stuff like SOC (picked up Maz, like 2 years after he got released). Gold

I'm 49 plus 4 months old. I started collecting in the Fall of 2006 right before I joined Robot-Japan in December of 2006. My first collection figures: of course, old Banpresto Mazinger-Z... ...the Rocket-punch posed hard vinyl statue, a couple of Maz gashapons and a couple of old Mazinger-Z paperweights that were broken but I still wanted them anyway. LOL.... I'm a happy young "geezer" here! (PS: I... Hate... Winter. lol) zozo-mag

38 years old. Started back in 2000 with the GX-01R and haven't been able to stop collecting since then. Never though that Mazinger was going to be so expensive on the long run

Im 39 and I think I started like 2005 in rj after that i never look back. Thou i tend to streamline my stuff but my preference keeps expanding. Anyway i am not sure how i find this thread related under the SOC thread. But its interesting to find out that the majority of collectors in Rj are in the same age bracket as me.

Im 32, i started in 2001 when the GX-07 Mazinger Z OVA came out, in reality the majority of the SoC is Mazinger related only so far since including the getters. However since everything started to go way up in price i have to be more selective on what i buy which in this case i pretty much abandon the SoC and move to the SRC and SH figuarts. I also collect Transformers figures but a selected few that attracts me more as oppose to get any recolor or getting characters that never appear in the show or comics sort of speak.

Anyway i am not sure how i find this thread related under the SOC thread. Huh, true... I thought this was in the General Toy Discussion boards... Well, maybe Baron's question was specific to Super Robot collectors?

42 here. Been collecting since High school. I watched Robotech, Starblazers and Force Five and that was the beginning. Then I learned Of their origins and found Madox-01, Bubblegum Crisis, Do you Remember Love, and Urotsukidoji and the obsession began. Never stopped collecting since then although my focus shifts periodically. I collect swords ( live functional swords, not stainless steel junk) guns, masks, art, old muscle cars, obscure horror flicks, vinyl and mainly toys though.

You are blessed, mate, if you can afford all of those things. Specially cars. I bet there are not many car collectors here in RJ.
