Hehe, here's a fine example of that "how to compare robot sizes by looking at how big the cockpit is" method there's no way Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger are similar in height: just look at how tiny Tetsuya is compared to Koji kind gives you an idea, Great would really tower over Z. They look good. I noticed there's a bit of a gap between the mouth-plates and the faces. No problems with that, right?

No, there's no gap between the face and mouth plates. It is the reflection of the silver on the blue that gives that optical illusion. As far as scales, definitely. Looking at these two pilots, it is obvious that Great Mazinger is a lot bigger. However, these are renditions made to look really good. Manga and Anime are the true source of these characters, and in them, they were very close in size. Toy manufacturers just didn't translate that very well into their scales. But it wasn't their fault the manga and anime artist totally disregarded all sorts of scales when drawing these robots... }D

I was just about to say that, wasn't Mazinger to Great Mazinger comparible to a OYW Gundam compared to a CCA Gundam? yeah they look somewhat similar, but one is at least a good head and a half over the other...

That looks really SchwEEt!
How big is that Jet Pilder? It's probably smaller than your fist, right?

Are we still using this thread? Well, here I go. I got a Metal Action 06 Mazinger Z head, with HOVER PILDER
Which is the only head I wanted (and probably ever want). It's the one from the original TV show, no manga colors, no Shin Mazinger stuff, no Jet Pilder. Just regular, classic Mazinger goodie. Here's some pics:
As you can see, the pilder itself is quite small. It is hefty though, loaded with diecast, the canopy moves flawlessly.. you get only 4 things in the package: a 1-sheet "manual", the head, the pilder and a small triangular piece of plastic which might help you when you need to push the small downward thrusters inside the vehicle. I should explain, see the thrusters Koji uses to land on and take off from Mazinger's head are spring loaded on this gokin. That way you can hide them if the pilder is resting on the head (if you put it on the head without hiding the thrusters first, the head will not sit firmly in place and might skid around a bit). It's a slightly annoying gimmick to be honest, but it's nice that they included it.
I couldn't test the LEDs since I don't have the 2 lithium batteries required, sorry. Overall, I like it very much. It's beautiful to look at.
