I'm in the Philippines and it took about 5 weeks to arrive from AmiAmi. I hope you get yours soon DarkFriar. Hmmm... I dunno, can this be called a magazine? I usually think of magazines as things that have a regular periodical release date, not a one-shot issue like this one. Gold

So, after almost a year, is this book worth it? Does it have vintage Starzinger toy images?

it depends on what youre looking for in a book. it would been better if they continued thier soul of chogokin series with this book. its full of vintage gokins and catalog anyway.. which makes it a worthy compliment to anyones collection.
no starzinger though.

For me, it's worth it. High quality pictures in a coffe table book format. Keep in mind that this book is mostly for the 40th anniversary edition of the various chogokin characters.

I have this and all of the Soul of Chogokin ones. Just wondering why these are considered books. They are more like magazines to me.

Physically.... They do look and feel more like magazines. Soft cover and its dimensions. I am pretty sure that if you ask someone who is not familiar with this publication, they would assume these "books" would be magazines.
I do agree with Gold about "magazines as things that have a regular periodical release date."

Here in the US, have you ever seen when publishers do one off releases of magazines, sometimes they are called "special" or "bonus" issues, but they are not dated or numbered? Sometimes for cars, fashion, etc.?
These "magazines" are basically the same thing as the chogokin walker magazine. This style of publication is just much more common in Europe and Asia than here, but yes, definitely magazines. Same goes for stuff like the hyper mook Roman album magazines as well - they are fancy magazines whether there are several issues or just one.
