Very nice. Looking forward to these indeed. It does look like there may be parts-forming, from the look of a couple samples (Bluejet's head/nose of fighter mode). Don't mind at all if these are small, similar to the originals (maybe a little bigger), and with a good diecast chunk, selling $30-40 a pop.

if I was hasbro I'd be very nervous right now. these look amazing and if we got a new anime to go with them they could easily kick Transformers off the top spot for transforming robots. even the third party companies are making better transformers than Hasbro and Takara I'm kind of confused? Didn't the IP rights to these characters end up in BanDai and Hasbro's hands as outright owners? Not simply licensee's? BanDai absorbed Popy which created and held Machine Robo, and Hasbro acquired the GoBots side of it when the bought out Tonka. Why would Hasbro be nervous about some third party coming in and attempting to top them by making toys of their own characters and IP? Granted Hasbro has not been that overly agressive in going after small merchant 3rd party Transformers. But this seems like something that might sit badly with them is it ever attempts to hit North America or Europe.

Action Toys, is a well known toy company based in Hong Kong, and it is that region's distributor of Fewture toys. Therefore, these are fully licensed products from Bandai. Hasbro does not own Machine Robo. Instead, it only owns the Gobots brand and characters names, not the toy designs.

I'm not sure on the connection there and have never been able to find any English language information pertaining to Fewtures business structure or relationships. Hasbro owns the Gobots branding and naming worldwide, but, it is my understanding that they own the specific character designs and images in Europe and North America. It's kind of a Macross vs Robotech deal again, at least in terms of how the IP rights lay out. only not so publicly acrimonious.

Bandai and Fewture are two independent companies. Action Toys got the rights from Bandai because Bandai owns Machine Robo.
Hasbro does not own the toy designs. It only owns the name Gobots, and the character names from that line. Not the toys.
As a matter of fact, Tonka never owned the Machine Robo toys either. It just owned the Gobots brand, Machine Robo toys were sold as Gobots under Bandai's permission.

Any updates on this line? I was really excited when the pictures first surfaced. Is it still happening?

Hasn't been any update from recent toyfairs for a while - even 3rd party transformers seem to be happening faster than this line

Photos form the link above (Taghobby): These are unlimited candy addiction !!!!! I will resist and just buy Driller and Blue Jet to complete SOC Bankaifu. DAMN, this line is gorgeous. Hope price is aiming mass retail... USD 30-40 ?

I want all of these and I hope the price is sets at $30 - 40 (According to Coldiron's post is HKD 200 - about USD 26). These get me more excited than the current state of SOC releases

I wonder if this reboot was inspired by the 3rd party lines or they maybe hired some of them. They look really well designed.

The prototype for Spay-C/Shuttle Robo looks suspiciously similar to FansProject's Explorer, suggesting a retool. Maybe the designer was involved?
