I don't know man, but for me it is much easier to pre-order TWE stuff than regular releases. Specially, not having to wait until 4:00 PM Japan time for a regular release pre-order to open and hoping that you order goes thru before in sells out.

Believe it or not, it did sell well in Japan. Not so much outside Japan. Maybe that's one of the reasons why Bandai Japan doesn't give a rat's ass about character interests outside its own borders. }D Don't really think it did since HLJ and some other shop (hobbysearch, i think) just did a recent massive fire-sale on it for around 1000y or so just to get rid of it... The main customers of All those online shops are from outside Japan. Japanese folks buy their stuff in stores. That's like saying most of USA folks buy their domestically available stuff online, like Marvel figures or Hasbro Transformers... }|

Actually, the main customers of those hlj and hs are local japanese. We non-japanese folks just shop there coz they have an english-site. It wasn't just those two shops, anyway. Kantam was also heavily discounted at amzn-japan and ami at about the same time as the fire-sale from the other shops, and you know amzn.jp don't ship toys to non-japanese addresses. --- As such and regardless of which customers (japanese or otherwise), repaints is simply easy money for Bandai. Low investment capital to spend but higher potentials for profits.

It's not only flat black but textured to, kinda like the MF Bog-O to give that sense or worn iron.

I'm Getting one. I was late getting back to collecting that's why I missed getting the first SRC mazinger Z (E-bay prices are scary). I think this one would do nicely as my main display of Maz.

Nice texture.
I'm curious to see how semi-gloss or flat matte would look on an SRC figure. Only one way to find out..... After I've moved into my new place I plan to buy an SRC Great Mazinger, only because I need its Brain Condor to cast a resin copy to replace the Condor which was broken on my first SRC Great Mazinger which Baron sent me two summers ago... one of it's engine pegs broke off and the piece is still stuck inside the docking hole. I don't wanna damage the head by trying to Frankentech it.
So then, one of the two Grt Maz figures will get an experimental paint-job test in either paint material, just to see how the semi-gloss or flat matte would look on an SRC.

Personally I don't really care if they just keep doing this to fund their other, more worthwhile projects.

Would be nice of Grt Maz and Grendy had gotten the same treatment and attention that Mazinger-Z has in the SRC line. On the other hand, the uber-redundancy of repaints and re-ishes would be so overkill. zozo-mag

instead of 20 different maz z, iI would much rather have a nice gaiking with power up parts and a beam effect for the hydro blazer.

The second one from the left is called Govarian, from Psycho Armor Govarian. The last one is God Mazinger I agree. As many others and I have stated, all the time and effort put into making these re-colours could have been spent better.

Guys! Pre-orders are now open at HLJ Japan! www.hlj.com/product/BAN996205/ActSure the price might be higher than AmiAmi, but it is reasonable, and a hell of a lot better than waiting for pre-orders to open at 4:00 PM Japan time. So DO NOT DELAY!!! GET YOURS NOW BEFORE IT IS SOLD OUT!!!!!!!!!

nice, but DON'T PANIC!
This is Maz, and Bandai always floods the market with Maz.
It's also quite unreasonably expensive for an SRC. Even with the seemingly included scrander. Not sure if the full weapons-pack is included at all.
As such, order at hlj if you really want to be safe. You can always cancel the item prior to release-date if you already have the paypal billing-agreement thingy with hlj.
