Buster machine #1 4x tail fins labeled L1, L2, R1, R2. May I ask which side is left & right? Thanks I used the tray as a guide. They are laid out in the tray relative to the Buster Machine. Obviously the L and R markings refer to left and right. They assume the Buster Machine/Robots left and right. So put them on with the nose pointing away from you. The offset on each clip should be positioned so it leaves some separation between the wings. Once you start putting them on you will see you really can't do it wrong.

Sorry, don't remember layout of tail fins in the box. Seems L1 & R1 exact same? Also L2 & R2? Maybe just match Ls & Rs regardless of which side they are on? Thanks

Thanks On each side the offsets on the clips between the #1 and #2 pieces should be facing in opposite ways. so bd is how they should go. This way the wings can close flat against each other

Look in the instructions. Correct placement of the fins are there.

I barely watched the cartoon but the figure is such a joy to own. Got mine a few weeks ago but there was a bit of a problem with the one of the feet being unable to transform. I did manage to fix it when I noticed that the some of the plastic part on the shin seems to be thicker than usual. After filing that part carefully it can now transform properly. I've asked a few people already and it seems I'm the only one that has encountered this problem. Anyway this toy was one of my grails and I'm glad I didn't buy the first one since the price was too inflated. For an old chogokin it still beats a lot of modern robot toys in terms of engineering. It can even do lots of poses which is a good thing considering that it's a complicated combiner. Also the combination isn't quite as complicated as I imagined it and it's a solid piece when the two ships are combined. This is currently my favorite soc figure in my collection.

Does anybody know how to separate buster machine 1 and 2? On his back, where the rotating waist piece is kind of covered by the flap that has the two little flexible antenna on it, there's a tab that you can push in. Push that and it'll disconnect the latch that's holding him together.
