i finally got the chance to handle him
all have to say is , i understand why some of my esteemed colleagues l are disappointed for the obivious reasons...
Having said that, this is an awesome figure. If youre on the fence, please get him before Amazon decides to push him back up in price. This way even if Amazon decides to lower the price even more, you still have 7 days to get it adjusted. At $35 shipped from Amazon now, if you were to get him from Japan, considering the average shipping charge from there, this guy would be $20 if it were to come from Japan.
in fact i commited to $30.94 by calling Amazon and got $4.75 back from when i bought it for 35 three days ago.
ill shortly put up my more detail review about what i like and dont like.

cons dorsel fin on his wing backpack keeps popping off. his right wrist joint gets little loose when hes holding his sword He is really small as we all know by now. He is lacking in diecast as we all know Pulling his feet down doesnt give you much range advantage...weird. i guess Bandai had a brain fart on that one.
Pros beautiful vibrant color with flawless app.
tons and tons of articulation, tons of joints. many many complex compound joints with many many clicky joints. Some joints are hydrid of metal and plastic to lessen the age or play looseness in future. At first glance i thought Bandai forgone the pull forward shoulder joints for the new pull all the way up shoulder joints, but alas there IS a pull forward joints...albeit very subtle. And feet has a clicky joints... wow nice one Bandai. feet clickys are usually saved for ultra expensive Fewture EX....
top of his hands seems tobe ABS...nice. Packaging is impeccable with single plastic tray with a beautiful box design. also Amazon finally up the game in packageing. still, it arrived with bent coners on box flap but it wasnt due to mispackaging.
diecast are is upper part of lowerlegs, also his cannons on his shoulders are diecast, some part of major joints are diecast. hes heavier then expected.
Are in all, i highly recommend this guy for around 35 shipped. Really nice looking figure you can pull off some nice dynamic poses. weather you have SOC or not id get him. i like him a lot more then Metal Composite Psycho 2 Gundam i recently opened... Come on , Please release GodMars. Just make him bigger with more Diecast with appropriate price increase.. Keep everything else same. then do GodSigma Ver2, you know like what you did with SKL Mazinkaiser...

i agree GGG.
i could nitpick/complain about him. yeah. but as is its a beautiful figure. lots of fun to play with. very sturdy and stiff, plus the articulation is nice.
definitely its pretty small, and he could've had more diecast though.
i guess its not selling which is the reason for the sales? its about half original retail now!

greengetterguy, What are the things that you like about SRC God Sigma more than the Metal Composite Psycho Gundam Mk-II ( tamashii.jp/item/10450)? For a while, I considered buying the Psycho Gundam Mk-II. I decided not to, though, and instead bought SOC God Mars ( tamashii.jp/item/836). i like him a lot more then Metal Composite Psycho 2 Gundam i recently opened...

hey GRB! yeah, for the price, GodSigma SRC had better quality over all.
Metal Composite Psycho 2 felt unweildy i guess just due to his massive size. thats on me but......
his plastic feels cheaper compare to the modern day SRC. the orange paint on his collar scratched and flaked off soon as i look at him wrong. his shield and head falls off so easy when i tried to pose him. His collapsable head seat drops down when i try to pose his head and its annoying to get it back up.....His metal frame is primitive compare to modern day Metal Build. even SRC feels like advance quality figure with all the advance joints, even if it doesnt transform.
It just didnt age too well. Also no matter how i look at him from any angle, his hands looked wrong for his hulking size.... they look too thin? for some odd reason, lot of Metal Composite Gundams have a similar issue, even the unicorns... Their hands are really oddly proportioned. Metal Builds dont have that problem, HG, PG, dont have this problem. Its the sculptor for this line.
you made a wise decision to buy SOC GodMars instead....

GGG, Thank you for taking the time to write up an interesting detailed comparison. The Metal Composite Psycho Gundam 02 was released in 2013 ( tamashii.jp/item/10450). It is basically a re-paint re-release of the one first released in 2008 ( tamashii.jp/item/908). Between then and the 2015 release of SRC God Sigma, Bandai has a lot of experience to draw upon. I am glad when Bandai and other companies can take a learn-as-they-go approach to improve design, materials, engineering and manufacturing. As a customer, sometimes I take a while to understand the engineering of figures. Sometimes after having a figure for a while I appreciate better how the joints coordinate together. I am interested to see the SRC God Sigma in person. SRC is currently my favorite line of figures, overall.
