I would be pissed if it's true, but again it's HLPRO and they always release variants of their products that are tweaked and better.... I should have expected that from them

If that's true I say Not good enough. Maybe they changed the cloth materiel? But I don't gave a damn.
But anyways I have no plans to buy it again. Why not doing something else instead.

The outside looks leather like and head looks different?? Could be wrong.. And why? Because it's HLPro and they do very weird stuff like show items years before they come out or release the same toy with minimal differences 2 weeks apart lol ask Tom he may know. I'm also curious Tom why you want this is it solely cuz it's HLPro? I like it because I like bizarre Christmas stuff and this fits that look. I love the green and red

thats sh*tty to make a new version of something when the old version has barely hit the shelves. its yes, on the looks i dont see any different that will make me go for it, but what im worried about is the "Fewture Direct" on the panel next to the fake izenbo figure on my previous post I don't think it's leather after all? Still not sure 100% S_Gokin Today hopefully. we just came back home from the hospital. I can't wait good luck bro & be careful don't lose the arms armor like i did

its probably not a different version, probably a pre-production prototype they are showing to distributors, those shows are all about getting distributors to place orders.
but look at that Grendy Jumbo! I cant believe a distributor hasn't ordered those into production yet.. I WANT IT! NONE of this stuff is made until a distributor places and order for it. That's why you might see it a year or so early.. they made the pre production prototypes it but no one has BOUGHT IT. I have to repeat this over and over to some guys... NOTHING GOES INTO MASS PRODUCTION UNTIL A DISTRIBUTOR PLACES AND ORDER FOR IT. .. they don't waste time and money producing something that a distributor doesn't want.

@ Gettershadow: Makes sense to me. I wouldn't mass produce any rubber hedge hogs if no one is interested and I don't see any orders from distros. Kinda like the ol' "supply and demand" rule.

exactly, the producers make models, they show them at shows and the distributors watch public reaction while the producers start hitting up the distributors to place orders... when a distributor decides to buy it, he places an order and tells how many he wants and by what date.. then the wheels of production start rolling. There are no "Willy Wonka" style toy factories with guys sitting around making toys in a big factory that ships them out blindly to stores near you... that doesn't exist. Its more like a director trying to convince Hollywood to make his movie based on story boards and scripts. That's how it really goes.

So then, I figure that's also how the "Pre-order" process goes, as well? The distro buys a few units and sets them up for pre-oder as they are being made and ready to ship by such-n-such deadline, and become available on the date as announced in the pre-order ad. Once the item sells hot off the shelf and more customers demand the item the distro can order more of the same item (X-amount of units per customers who have ordered it).
(Just trying to visualize the concept in my head, and also asking on behalf of those of us who would like to know how the process goes.)

you got it.. at least for alot of the items.. depends on the details also. case by case situation. The idea is that you never product 'TOO MUCH' always just enough.. no waste

Then why show pictures of toy to public then? If it may not get purchased by distributor? Or add to toy line as a entry far before toy is bought by distributor? I see this happen a lot it seem.public is one who suffers with wait it seems, as you say this question asked a lot about why it takes so long for toy to come out.Can you explain? Good Idea for company to hide picture of it if take so long to be bought. If toy is good should find distributor quickly.. Maybe toys not so good then if take long to find distributor?
