ok.. but happens if HALF the time the "white" actually light blue? What color is it REALLY? heh The problem is that at the time for the old shows Silver and Chrome is an obligatory white since it was very hard to add the colors in the animation. So in this case Mazinger Z has white and Great Mazinger's blade is also white there is no escaping it because of the old animation limits of the time or budget constrains. However over the years since animation adapted and evolve now there is new color standards to differ what color refers to, now to know what is silver is a hint of a very lighter blue and for chrome is like a bluish grey or even most cases add a mirror effect for reflection. Mazinger Z is a fine example of those changes from his original tv show to his movie adaptations where the styles and budget change him drastically even the e-mangas show this as well. of the changes for him been now the staple of his look.

Good theory, but... it doesn't exactly pan out. So, back in the 70's chrome was white, and every robot with white was meant to be chromed... hmmm.... So, what happened in 2001? Image straight from the DVD. I also ask myself, why would anyone build a machine, paint only parts of it, and leave other major parts unpainted? I have never seen that before, other than car rims, bumpers, and some accents... oh, and with the DeLoreans. But definitely never seen it done with a military machine. Oh well... }D

I really think that white resembles in the 70s / 80s chrome like the swords colors , while the light gray a more metallic silver for the limbs ! it is a case by case situation depending on the character and the collector taste BUT having said that I don't think that white is anime accurate because in anime they were not white ! most of the time they were light bluish grey

What is not anime accurate color is silver, also I don't believe the intent was ever for the limbs to be chrome. Maybe aluminum/stainless steel, but never chrome. The entire Robot is Chogokin, so no reasoning in leaving chrome parts with the other painted parts. }D

shouldn't it be released at the same time that Gattaiger I remember them saying that too. But even now, they're just showing prototypes of the thing. Same time my bottom, I doubt we'll see this figure out before the end of the year... Glad I'm not getting it. The wait would slowly but surely piss me off.
