I'm really hoping Bandai will get the license to do a Golion. I'm pretty sick and I'd like to have an actual Large Bandai Golion before things get too much worse. I swear to God if I die before they make this I'll have some words with them....lol anyway Bandai and WEP if your listening please take note that a one of your biggest Golion fans, has been told by his doctors hes getting worse and there isn't a fix so will you put your differences aside cause life is short and this fan really wants to see a Bandai Golion before his collection is being bought up at an estate sale. So Bandai, WEP and whoever else is involved.. oh Toynami give up the license to Bandai and make this cause I am serious stressing that I will never see the Golion that needs to be made. I mean really I need this or I'm gonna haunt your factories.
Ps 18 inches is the perfect size and heavy with weapons etc I'm waiting but not forever..lol
Oh and while your at it a DX Tetsujin needs to be done the 44 was a joke when you think about it

dam dude...didnt know its that serious. stay strong warrior. Im on your side man.
Nonotme has a BS anaconda grip on that Voltron license...i dont know how thats even possible since Bandai is considerably more powerful then it. It certainly cant be the money. I just hope the Nonotme lose the license the next round and finally FINALLY, Bandai can do Voltron the justice. WEEP and Nonotme arent liked by too many folks by now....especially around here. i wish the worst on those two.

Sorry to hear mate. I have been holding out on a SOC Voltron too. Skipped the Toynami ones and the KOB during the wait.
I did get the Mattel 24" one though.

the thing is guys Bandai was trying to get a license to do a Golion Ive read that some where but WEP asked an insane amount of money because its Bandai , so the license went for Toynami again also Bandai have alot of projects not just in figures but in many other things, and from a business view they cant accept WEP asking price for that license however we have the Toynami Voltron i know its have alot of QCs but if you find one without it its kinda a decent figure to have also we have the MT version i know its not anime accurate but its the closest thing to what Bandai is going to do something better than nothing

Ps 18 inches is the perfect size Actually if youre gonna let Bandai make Golion... 18inch is waay too big for thier Soul of Chogokin line up... it just wont fit. They might as well make it a DX hehehe.. More likely if ever,, its get made by Bandai.. it would fall around Voltes V or Daltanious size. and its more practical too.. coz that would make it cheaper.

unless you're looking for complete anime accuracy (which the toynamis pretty much cover) what would bandai give you that the mad toys kob did not?
I mean, I know they omitted some of the individual lion weapons, but as a combined figure I've never seen such a beautiful or poseable voltron.

I mean, I know they omitted some of the individual lion weapons i guess to some collectors.. anime accuracy.. is that important. we are not talking about kiddie money here.. these toys are expensive. when manufacturers decide whether to add that little details or not.. to some collectors, it does make a difference... to decide whether to buy it or not. like in my case.. hehehe... dont get me wrong i like KOB, its a notch up in engineering, its an awesome figure. but i guess im more inclined to accuracy than poseability or durability.. thats why i passed up on KOB. they didnt do well on that part. reason was.. its just awkward to display an unfaithful KOB beside group of very faithful looking SOC's, CMs and other gokins. and yes, its just me and like we always say...it depends on anyones tastes and preference. well the reason we have this thread is for Bandai.. hopefully doing Golion. and we all know Bandai is really NOT KNOWN in doing unfaithful looking gokins. so if Bandai can give all these.. accuracy, poseability, accessories, durability... then why not.. the better.

Bandai could do well if theyre the first company to hide those lion legs when they combine.
Heres a bone for Bandai. Use those hida way flip up headlights concept that were so popular during 80s sports cars. you know, the ones that used on Corvette, Porche 928, and Datsuns NX. now fold those legs and flip them inside the lions body!!!
come on now! dont make me draw it for ya

ah yes.. those lion legs.. its an integral part of Golions transformation. how they will fold neatly when they become part of arms without sacrificing its original intended use as.. well... as lion legs hehehe.. ofcourse bandai knew that with already countless golion releases out there... it just common sense on thier part to give us new gimmicks and innovation.

good points. I just love that kob so much especially after all these years of mediocrity.
it's hard to imagine a golion being better lol

if only there was a make a wish foundation for adults. I've heard that a prototype exist for a SoC Voltron. If anything, bandai should paint up the prototype create the packaging and just give it to you.

I too, have been wanting an SOC Golion for as long as SOC started. Unfortunately, the waut was too long and I fell prey to the Toynami version. Was a big BIG disappointment. I then recently got the MT KOB and sold the Toynami one. Still hoping for a SOC one tho. And yes, hiding those lion legs would definitely be a plus, given how awesome Bandai engineering is. Btw, I hope WEP and Toynami can go *censored* themselves.

Man CRP, I really hope things get better for you. Im sorry to hear about what you're going through.
Well I have been fortunate enough from dealing with CDX to have met up with Bandai reps in the past. It was almost set in stone. I was stopped in the entrance by the rep who said hey guess what? Its done, all we gotta do is sign off on it. Then from that point dont know what happened. They have also joked about having a prototype done for years now but obviously no one has seen it. I think Toynami will hold on to that license a bit longer especially if plans for a movie are even remotely possible. Funny thing is, Toynami stopped using Golion name so why cant Bandai use it?
As nice as Mad Toys set is, its not definitive. To me its like a band doing their version of a cover of a great song. Bandai made a great toy the first time around. I cant imagine what they are capable of 30 years later.
