Saw these in Akiba the other day. The Super Robots are nicely detailed and shiney. The Fujiko Fujio ones have a Matt brushed finish.

I like how they got a tumbler of Scotch whiskey and a globe in the promo poster... you can be all classy with your robots in your study as you knock back a few drinks ahhah
Chen I got a few Marmit mini gokins.. they are slightly articulated, head rotates , shoulders rotate, most of them will rotate at the knee.. like a vinyl figure.. little and kinda heavy.

Saw these figures exposed at the Lucca Comics & Games convention, I didn't like the concept very much before, but after seeing them I think I might get Mazinger Z. It's small, full o' metal and detailed enough, it would make a nice "amulet". Plus, it is quite affordable. Or even better, I could buy the Getter 1 once it comes out since I'm more of a Getter fan than a Maz fan. Eh, what do I know, maybe I'll get both. We'll see.

That's a great pic. Thanks, Mechanical Flesh!
Honestly, this is the line I'm most looking forward to right now.
I already have all the Soul of Chogokin type figures I could need. Anything else I might want simply isn't likely to be made. But these things; small, simple, metal, and cheap, but with great sculpts --they really hit a sweet spot. I could collect stuff like this all day and night.
For now I'm most excited about Getter Dragon, Getter 1, and Boss Borot. But if these are as satisfying in hand as I expect them to be, I'd love to see the line expand to include Sunrise bots from the seventies and eighties, as well as other classics like Voltes V and Gunbuster.

I wonder how good these would look if you painted them.. Maybe that's the idea with the "secret color" version.

More pics of the April wave are out: toy-world.com.hk Getter 1 looks so good. They're certainly cheap enough to paint them up like gaming miniatures, but then they'd just be smaller, fixed-pose, gokin toys; kinda defeating the point of the format. Plus, you'd probably have to do some problematic sanding first to get the paint to stick to that polished metal surface.

I hope Bandai cranks out more villains aside from Garada, like at least 6 more so we can use these as chess pieces

Kamen rider sounds interesting. That's what I was thinking. Especially if they are in their signature poses and the sculpts are really detailed, showing wrinkles and creases in the suits. Seeing this line include Gundam wouldn't excite me, but if they made a Turn-A Gundam, or the original RX-78 Gundam the way it looked in the classic animation, I'd gladly get those.

Lol, youre reading my mind. Although with Disney and Marvel license, all 50 IronMan suits intriguing too. Some with signiture 3 point landing pose?
