Also preordered Hot Rod Mk II and the Diaclone toy. All via Ami2. It's good to not be in a dogfight for a preorder for a freaking change, LOL.

Nice! It comes in robot mode. Save me the trouble of transforming heh heh. unless there are packaging variants, pretty sure it comes packed in Gun mode. Don't know how to link Facebook pictures, but this picture is from the user uranusdd. I have a totally different mindset in that I hate it when transforming figures comes in their robot forms. At least when they come in alt mode, it forces people to actually attempt to transform the figure into the robot mode. In robot mode, lot of people just take it out of package and into their display. No real time spent in playing with the figure or trying to figure out what works what doesn't and what's problematic. Tolerance, clearance issues, where parts rub together and damages the finish, all of that matters to me. For me, even when it comes in robot mode, I have to transform it back and forth just to make sure things work and isn't broken.

Guess i am those lazy sort who dont like transforming robots unless its simple transformation such as the takatoku valks heh heh. The only exception is my fans toys dinobots. I make it a point to transform all of them into dino mode as i find them more adorable that way hehe In actual fact, i treat my robots more like work of art and place them straight in the display cabinet the moment i set a pose and never have much interest playing around with them

I also do that too, Set it in a pose and dump it into the display. But before doing so, I need to run it through its transformations. I don't know why but I have to evaluate it that way. To get my worth/value. Cause in my mind, I am paying for a transforming figure and not just a action figure. So transformation is an important factor. Example, Gundog was package in robot mode. It's a great action figure. But had I not transform it into its vehicle mode, I am missing out on the great transformation engineering and the though process. Can't help but to think that's part of what I am paying for and not just a action figure, if that makes any sense. Same with MP Ultra Magnus. Even Apollyon, with all its problem, I needed to see and feel what the gun mode is like in my hand to get the complete worth. This is just me though so...

Chachi/RPA review of MP-29 Shockwave:

Transformation is a breeze. Easier than most of the Autobot cars. Didn't get much time with this one today. Should be able to put in a couple hours tomorrow with this guy. Haven't decided on where to place the decepticon symbol. And also haven't install the batteries. Update to the decepticon shelf. Moved MMC Hexatron aka SixShot out and shuffle things around a bit.

Yes...the ease of transformation of MP-29 suit me to a tee! Gathered from Charles video review that its colour is anime accurate, but i am not too fond of it though. Something darker would have been nice.

I keep waiting for Takara to make megatron but still hasn't happened. The shelf looks mighty nice sup. Is that the Takara thunder cracker or hasbro?

You should get the upsized ravage too. Nicely made and good size.

Thanks. Hasbro Thundercracker. Starscream is the new Hasbro version, based on the MP-11 mold, Soundwave is also Hasbro version. Got Soundwave Takara version too as a gift from a friend but I already got the Hasbro one displayed when he got it for me. So I Didn't to open it. MMC Ravage is on my maybe list.
I am liking the current MP's. Got Optimus Primal preordered. A new Megatron would definitely replace the one in my display.
Anyone else noticed Starscream aim. Must of done that subconsciously. Either that or these things do move on their own when I am not there.

Had some more time to mess with this figure. Installed batteries and took the time to take some comparison shots. Saluting Megatron. Arm articulation isn't good enough to make it work so not sure why this hand is necessary. Comes with a mini version of himself. Here it is compared to the KO WST G1 version. And robot mode comparison.
