My experience on TFC product is not good. It's not the durability that's in question. It just TFC the quality is not there, at least that how I feel about their first 4 combiners. Not sure how much they have improved but their old toys feels like regular $25 official toys. Very little quality, simple engineering on transformation and combined form barely worked. They combine and can stand up fine. Trying to put them in any pose is a chore. Are they still using that hexagon type conbining port and plug? I remember seeing their Hades (LioKaiser) combined with Hercules and their earlier combiners limbs. Those connection type suck, and it's old engineering from over ten years ago. My thing is, they just don't feel like $100 toys. Don't feel like $80 pieces. $50 still feels to me like they are pushing it. I would need to mess with one of these new ones to see if they are worth it in quality. Yeah, FWIW, this is what I mean by "hit-and-miss"...some people love them, some not so much. The ones that are CONSISTENTLY ranked well are the usual suspects still: MakeToys, FansProject, Mastermind Creations, FansToys, and recently, BadCube. Perfect Effect is also pretty solid in rep too. Yeah, but in lots of cases, people are just overlookin value and comin up with reasons cause they feel the need to justify their purchase. Just look at the mess that was Omnigonix Spinout. Yet, those that bought it are defending it like its the best bang for their buck. I mean, I have no problem spending the money but I know what $200 buys. I swear, with some of these collectors, either they have really low standards or they really don't what high quality is.

I often get a chuckle reading how someone may have purchased say the MakeToys Giant and now, every other iteration of Devastator "sucks". Or that their selected rendition is the best and everything else just is not up to par. I just find it weird. Mind you, $200USD for a Transformer is not the same as what you get in quality if you spend $200 on a Bandai-type gokin toy. Or maybe that's just me. Bandai still generally is the benchmark for value and quality, IMO. I mean, we're dumping $500+ on some combiners and for that amount, you get the DX Chogokin Great Mazinger...sure, different toys and different features but if we're talking quality and material, I'd give the vote to the Bandai product.

I will purchase Poseidon and probably Minos. I like these new design direction. When it's about non vehicule (monsters here), proportions like those are ok to me ( I shoulded buy Ordin). I am in touch with TFC boss, so if you have some question/concern, feel freeto post and I will relay. I will try to get a preview asap of Bigbite to make some review (time to start chogoking engine).

Lejam, please ask the TFC guys if they could share high res images of the rest of the bots that we have not seen - Snaptrap, Tentakil and Nautilator, as well as images of the combined Piranacon. Also ask them why did they choose to implement the energon type combiner ports when other 3P companies have moved to more modern ports which gives better performance. I also want to know when is TFC expects to deliver all the members of the Seacons, and what is going to be next in their project pipeline. Thanks in advance!

Got some answers : Actually the new combine port are more similar with the combiner war port. Other protype and colouring testshots will appear very soon after Bigbite is out. Combiner is around 35cm high
EDIT (from Q&A I had with TFC): "New combine port is more similar with Combiner War port. Nautilator prototype image will be released after Bigbite official release, then Snaptrap follow in queue in colouring testshot. Tentakil will be last revealed. Combiner size is around 35 cm".

Got some answers : new combine portThis is what I've been wondering! The prototypes that had the exposed ports, they looked different than the traditional TFC ports, and literally every single photo since then has carefully hidden the ports from view. I'm going to be pretty stoked if the ports have been redesigned to be more solid. Either way, this first Seacon just arrived in stock at my preferred online retailer, so I'm going to have this on my way to me soon

Many thanks Lejam - that certainly take some doubts from my mind! This is what I've been wondering! If Bigbite is solid, then I have no reason to wait until TFM Menasor is complete to get it.

Love it. He looks vicious and beastly. The way that they fold the smaller legs up and around the leg is smart.
My Bigbite should get here tomorrow. I'm excited to break into him and see how he measures up!

Colors are a little more muted than I'd like, but he looks fantastic otherwise. Joints are all solid (most of them ratcheted), and the clear plastic looks amazing. The lightpiping on the head is especially good and the facesculpt gives him a ton of character. I haven't had a chance to do much more with him other than the one transformation from FishMonster to robot, but the transformation felt pretty intuitive. The entire front of his Fishbody folds and origami's into his lower legs. I was messing with my G1 seacons last night and it sort of amazed me how well TFC had managed to create a distinct look for these guys out of a set of originals that were mostly colorful geometric shapes and monster limbs.

I think so! He's satisfyingly solid in all of his modes (including arm mode which I tested out late last night) and his transformation is simple but effective. His joints are all tight (if anything they're too tight on some hinges which made me nervous but so far nothing has given any sign of stressing or breaking) and his plastic has a nice satin texture that's similar to the Maketoys Giant figures, if anyone has messed with those figures. Everything on him has a smooth, buttery feel that feels good to maneuver once you get over the initial fear or breaking and stressing things.

I ordered my Bigbite and the 4 hades members already out. Next poseidon member named Cyberjaw should come soon. What do you think about TFC proposing articulated hands as add-on : Another review : EDIT : Bobby's review

I'm totally fine with the hands the seacons have right now. The toys are fairly simple and there's a joy to just being able to transform a toy, jam a gun in its hand, and pose it. Once you start fiddling with tiny damn finger joints (and they would be miniscule! They don't have big hands at all!), it's going to be less fun and more aggrivating.
Most of these guys look at their best with their hands occupied by weaponry anyway.

I got my pink fish today. Yes, hands are tiny (head too). Difficult to have sturdy articulated fingers. Bigbite is really nice. Shape is plain everywhere. I am also qurprised by the size : tall and bulky. Articulations are fantastic. This set gonna be impressive, great line up. Can easily fill MP line. I also received 4 Hades members : good too but it's like TFC passed a gap with Poseidon since. Doing monster is probably easier than real shaped altmodes, but the difference is noticeable. I do recommand to get Poseidon set, so far a great combiner to come.
