Oh isn't that lovely. I was just checking the release date for the Volume 1 kits so I could get ready to buy a set and the inflated prices on Ebay finally make sense. All three Volumes are P-Bandai kits and will cost at least DOUBLE retail to those of us without a friend overseas. like myself. We seriously need international branches for Premium Bandai so we can give BANDAI the money instead of some schmuck on Ebay. Just volume 3 is a P-Bandai kit. Vol. 1 and 2 are normal releases and are still, surprisingly enough, available for preorder at places like hlj and amiami. hlj.com/product/BANN22448 hlj.com/product/BANN25231

Then why is Big Bad Toystore charging $105 for Vol 1?

so i just finished my photography for the SM Voltron
and man its a good figure, the articulation is surprisingly good and the fact that you can combine all the of lions weapons and blades into one massive weapon is just awesome, im kinda sure Voltron didn't have that weapon in the anime so i guess they took the idea from power rangers lol
building the lions was really fun and it was a first for me even tho i used to build cars but it was long ago and wasn't as advance as this figure
in the lions mode each of the lions have great range of articulation, they come with two shoulders weapons and 1 blade for each lion
after forming Voltron, the figure hold it self very well its way better than i thought, and honestly i thought it will be a floppy mess but its not AT ALL, you do a pose, pick it up and it will hold it, since we build it we know how the joints works and where its limit, that comes handy when you do extremely dynamic poses
the only two things i didn't like about the figure some parts will still have extra plastic parts from the tray no matter what and its very annoying to cut the stickers for me im bad at this, i mean putting stickers on the lions was like doing an open heart surgery , i think it would be way better if they painted them instead of the stickers because with time the glue will become dry and you will end up with 1 eye lion lol
lastly i recommend this figure to any Voltron fan its a must
and i really really wish if Bandai include Voltron to the next patch of the FA line that will be EPIC

you're talking about nubs, right? when you cut a part from the sprue, a bit of excess is left over. we in the Gunpla community call that a "nub". the trick to cleaning nubs is not to try to keep cutting them with your nippers, but rather to cut so there's a little excess (So you don't cut INTO the part and leave a visible crater), and sand it down with very fine-grit sandpaper. it will end up smooth, but on darker parts, you may still see a slight discoloration. in those situations, it's a matter of covering that with a small dot of paint. (which I would imagine would be very easy in the case of Voltron since it uses very basic colors) as for the stickers, do take in mind that these kits are essentially candy-toys, so children need an option to have a color-accurate representation without excessive painting. Personally, I painted my Megazord when I got mine because I felt the stickers were gaudyThough...I took some liberties with mine. also this was the first time I ever painted a kit, so...go easy on me ;w;

Super Mini-Pla is actually candy toy! I mean, each box really does come with a candy. So they are just repackaged and sold for a heavier price tag?

So it is worth the price tag?
i paid around $42 for mine
thats mean about $8.4 per lion, i honestly think its a tiny bit overpriced since the plastic isn't the best (im not saying its awful quality) but it could be better, and the figure is not huge (18 cm)
but what we are going to do ? this is a Voltron by Bandai after the legendary GX-71 so if you didn't catch its wave you will miss it
last thing worth to mention the package is really really annoying to store away

So far just Amiami (sold out at the moment) from the sites I've checked out. HLJ usually posts their minipla listings about a day later in my experience. The Big Volfogg set is a p-bandai kit, so preorders are up at Nippon-Yasan.

I got in on the amiami pre-order. I really wish they didn’t put super mini-pla on pbandai. I thought the intention was to cheaply bring super robots to the fans by removing the die cast metal.

Barnes and noble now has the voltron minipla set in just like they did with the megazord. It was $62. Fair price, especially if you have their mailing list for %15 off coupons.
