to answer you, i would say yes Spongebob and most of Nickelodeon characters are well known almost everywhere the thing is with this product it kinda remind me of Voltron, if you consider woody to be the black lion its an easy pass for me anyway, if they was planing for a toy story themed robot why they didnt choose buzz since he is a space ranger and all lol, i hope they are not considering two robots in my opinion they should stick with super robots Woody is a pretty crap "black lion", especially when it's pretty clear that Bullseye makes up the majority of the combiner torso as well as the right arm. It's not really a "Black Lion" or "Go Lion" style combiner. Woody looks to be the abdomen, waist/hips and upper legs. Bullseye is the Upper Torso and Shoulders. I think Woody's hat becomes the head.

I kinda like it. Am a fan of TS 1 and 2. It is western/cowboy themed because of Woody. I will bet good money that another one will be released with Buzz and it will be space themed. im a fan of toy story too , alot of great memories i remember i had a huge black chrome buzz along with a plastic woody

Oh for those that missed it. Over on the Tamashii Japa Facebook page, among the Mecha Woody pictures is a pic showing a Sillouette of Buzz, casting a combiner robot shadow with the message (in Engrish) "More Information Coming Soon 7/21/2016 Japan Time. " so there is clearly another Chogokin in the Pipeline. The robot shadow is very different from Woody or Transitron. No way it could be an add on scrander or similar. www.facebook.com/tamashii.nations.japan/?ref=ts&fref=ts

It's an interesting idea and I like how the singles of the five figures look. However, the combined robot is much too busy looking with holes and empty spaces everywhere. I think it's ugly to look at. The other robot coming 7/21 looks like it is a Buzz Lightyear silhouette.

A bandai produced animation posted by Tamashii Nations. Lot's of interesting tidbits and clues buried in it.
First up there is A LOT of Transitron in this video. I am really hoping Bandai is not simply teasing us.
Also note the very end. The "to be continued", there is a Buzz Lightyear Spaceship flying in in the upper left. More evidence that Buzz is coming.
PS can we please get a "SHMA Giant Trixie"?

so is buzz going to be a combiner as well ? Just from looking at that shadow in the teaser, I'm going to go with yes. The outline of that one arm has a very much combiner shape to it. Maybe something like Buzz, Zerg, the Green Alien(s) and Buzz's Spaceship? I can't really think of many more SF or less organic TS toys that would be a good fit for Buzz? I actually thought Trixie would have made a cool element of a Buzz based combiner. Use her like the lion head on Gao Gai Gar. I'm doubting we will see Ken, Barbie or the Green Army men used as combiners, mainly for licensing. (Although a Barbiebot would. Be the weirdest coolest thing ever). A Buzz/Jessie combiner just goes to weird places. So what's left? Potato Heads? The RC car? The Binoculars? The Speak and Spell? I'm trying to remember the major characters?

Even though it's not closely related to Toy Story, I did see an animated movie some years ago, the protagonists were Buzz and 3 of his friends, an alien chick with phase-through powers, a small robot loaded with gadgets and a huge alien dude who idolized Buzz and also served as comic relief. And by the end of the movie, all 3 of his friends became space rangers and followed him on his adventures (I think this movie was followed by an animated TV series).
That group would make for an awesome chogokin combining set. But that's not really related to Toy Story, so I'm not sure we'll see Bandai use them for their next project.

Wow! How come I don't remember a thing about Transitron? Now I want him You probably did not see the show he was from. Transitron is from the "Toy story of Terror" short.
