It's the 20th anniversary of Escaflowne and the blu-ray is coming out soon in the US so my wish would be a fully transformable Escaflowne. If Bandai made it, they can have all my love. I would flip out. I need a solid Chogokin of that figure in my life

But, honestly, I would be giddy if it was a Mekanda. Cuz, I'll never be able to afford the vintage and this will be my best shot at ever owning that mech.

We already have a Daimos. GX-43...? I'm hoping for something like the GX-65 Daitarn 3 Renewal Color. or at least a reissue.

We already have a Daimos. GX-43...? After market prices on GX-43 have reached the obscene levels of over pricing that Bandai generally judges as market demand and does a re-issue. That seems to flutter around the $500 usd mark for non-exclusive releases. Currently Daimos, Baikanfu and God Sigma seem to be sitting comfortably in that range, with God Mars, Ideon and Grendizer just a bit below it. Of those 6, God Sigma, God Mars, and Baikanfu would likely just see a straight up re-release under their old number. Ideon would really just see some minor engineering changes to fix the shoulder joints. Not much else you could add or change there. So for a new number assignment, i.e. A new reworked release, Daimos or Grendizer stand out. And Grendy is less likely as the SRC's are still in the distribution channel. Plus Daimos is one that really could use an engineering overhaul. The solid cab and trailer always seemed like a step backwards from the Popy. It's all pure speculation. But there is a logical path to it.

Nice deductive work there detective.
I originally passed on Daimos due to aweful looking Hip joints and the super bendy antenna on the super cab. Otherwise its really good looking robot and i want one....at a reasonable price.

Daimos is just ok. Nice at the retail price, but don't go get one at $300-500. It has some nice things going, but also enough flaws that doesn't impress as one of the best. Engineering aside, the loosening ankle ball joint makes the whole figure not as stable as it should. Came tight when new, but loosen up very fast just doing a few kicking poses. It could use some small tweaks if a re-issue is warranted.

Guys, how about a getter emperor. SOC is a non scaled line any way. I know it is unlikely, if not impossible, but just something nice to dream about. I wish. But let's be real, Bandai hasn't even given us a Shin Getter in SoC form. Last getters we saw in the line were GX-51 and 52.. I don't know if we'll see any others. I'd love to have a Getter Emperor someday.. maybe I'll build it myself, I'd use paper, and metal wires to hold the shape. And I'd hang it from the ceiling, cause the real Emperor is too big to stand on anything, hehe. It can only float in space. Cause I doubt someone will ever tackle it. It's such an obscure robot..

Right now i dont have any cravings for soc getters anymore.. moreso of Shin Getters, New Getters and the likes.. Aoshima has done a good job filling that void for me. also the market has been filled by other forms from SRCs to Fewtures plus other comapanies too... mostly from Getter Armageddon anime.. in which BU Toys will have thier own lineup too.. What Bandai needs to do is pull mechs from the deepest realm of forgottenville hehe.. and make an update.. Dai Apollon, Bismarck, Mechander, Ginguiser, J9 trio, Dangaioh, God Mazinger, and so on.. there are still much to be done.. but ofcourse Bandai also considers the market and profit afterwards.

It's really hard to predict Bandai. They largely focus on the Japanese or Asian market first. And our exposure to and popularity of various classic robots will be different here in North America.
Actually GoLion/Voltron may be a bit of a wake up call to Bandai to start paying more direct attention to that market. (I suspect one key sign to that happening will be the Tamashii product lines switching from the 3rd party Bluefin distributor, and instead being brought over by Bandai America.)

I think Bismark is a prime candidate for SOC. Some of the others, such as Dangaioh seem good or better fodder for SRC. Heck for Dangaioh they could almost just take the internat frame engineering directly from Zeormyar or Gurren Lagan and re armor it. And don't dismiss how Bandai thinks as a business. In many ways they are of a kind with Nintendo. Bandai very rarely takes a loss on anything, and they are quick to cut off or make a change when they do. They just don't follow Mattel or Hasbro's approach to always doing the same thing hoping to maximize short term returns. Bandai tends to balance a bit more between the safe constant (Mazinger, Dragonball Z, 9000 variants of Godzilla.) With the more unexpectedly weird (SOC General Franky! Kantam Robo. Etc

Not dissing on Bismark. I have seen the CollectionDX review of the guy and he looks pretty amazing. Sorta has the Metal Hero mecha feel.
