Not gonna complain about the size at all. I'll happily take slightly smaller if the trade off is far better quality. So...who's gonna buy three to have a SOC Megazord in all three modes?

I can never quite understand the massive impulse buying of multiples of a single item, especially one this expensive, with some more hard core collectors. Granted it is nice to have one for the shelf and another for play but really, I personally can barely afford one of these guys.

I kind of feel the same way, although I think I'd do it a bit too if I didn't collect so many different things. I did buy a second GaoGaiGar to fiddle with though, since my first became aa absolute brick with the Goldion Hammer and Star GaoGaiGar option set.

I may do the same for my SoC Gaogaigar due to paint scuffing and how my bricked SoC is a great statue as well. Lol. Nonetheless, I do not quite regret my purchase as The Brave Series is sort of a missing piece of my childhood that has shaped my adult life in a way.

The bloody thing is so unwieldy and transformation so prone to damage the robot, that many got 2, to display one permanently in robot form and the other forever in Lion form. This tendency has spread to a few other combines. Sometimes it is nice to display the components and the robot side by side.

May be the bro really really likes the toy. Or he has lot more disposal income then me. Or and has lots of dispaly space.
I tried to buy multibles just to see what its like, and gave myself a reason that it canbe a back up robot just incase one broke for any reason. Well it never justfied, i always regret it, thinking i could have used that money to fund newer and badder robot....so i dont do it anymore.
People are just different.

Well it never justfied, i always regret it, thinking i could have used that money to fund newer and badder robot....so i dont do it anymore. People are just different. Yeah, I'm largely at the point where I have the disposable income (not so much the display space sadly). But even then I will virtually never buy duplicates. I am one of those that the thought of leaving a purchased toy "mint in sealed box" makes my skin crawl. It somehow kills the soul of what a toy is supposed to be. For my rare duplicates it is normally something like a recolor/reissue. And even then it needs to be something that I see a benefit to display both ways. So for example I have the 20th and 30th edition Voltrons, which have very different paint. I keep one in cat one in bot. I have Voltes V normal and Volt in a box. Same deal. Heck by and large I try and limit myself to a single instance of a character. I don't do every Mazinger Z variant ever made. (With an occasional exception. Generally if SOC and SRC had equally good offerings.)

Sorry for necro-posting but during my foray into Rangerboard, I figured out a snag said board that I figured out with the Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin. If Bandai America were to for some reason hypothetically re-remake the Legacy Dino Megazord, it would have to fit with the Legacy Dragonzord release as well as Legacy Titanus to an extent.
Though it is too early to count the chickens before hatching, I realized that the gloves or gauntlet and chest piece Daizyujin wears as part of the Ultimate Daizyujin formation may not be available for the Soul of Chogokin release. As in the Legacy Titanus parts may not fit with the Soul of Chogokin and really why would it especially if Bandai Japan would not expect to make more releases for Power Rangers Season 1.
This may be a necessity to release their own SoC Titanus which may be the same usual price a Legacy Titanus is now and would only get more ridiculous as times goes on.
This may be another case of the SoC Star Gaogaigar where if there will be an SoC Titanus/King Brachion it will end up being a much more expensive hassle that not many will buy and will just make your SoC Megazord a brick if you do. An imposing brick but a brick nonetheless.

I don't know if they will got that far with the carrier yet. If they do it will be astronomically expensive. I think right now they are concerned with getting the megazord out the door, because SOC is mainly concerned about the robot itself, which is the stage that the megazord is currently at. It's a popular combiner so they may have plans to do just this and nothing else. Too many of the sub releases hinge on people owning this toy, so any additional robots from the line will definitely be made or scrapped based on sales of this one.

All in all, if they do release the other two major mecha of S1 Power Rangers, only then will I consider selling my Legacy molds. Right now, this guy is worth me selling my old 93 release.

The Presentation of the Sentai's bots as we saw in SRC is the more likely path SOC will follow. The complete stand alone core robots with a few accessories. I would not expect to see many if any add on bots. Maybe just maybe the Dragonzord as its well known and popular enough on its own. But given the lukewarm reception to the GaoGaiGar add ons, particularly Goldymarg, don't hold your breath waiting on a SOC Titanus. We will see a SOC Gokai-Oh, Shinken-Oh or Dekaranger Robo long before we see a Titanus.

Since Ultimate Daizyujin is a brick as I have said,I may as well get a Legacy Titanus and have my Legacy collection fit that niche.

And slightly off topic, but speaking of SRC's, I found a pair of the 5" Bandai plastic Dino Charge Megazords on Clearance at Target for $5 each today. I grabbed them because they scale with the SRC's... And dear lord are these things awful! Worst, cheesiest action figures ever. One of them only has paint apps on the front. The entire back is black plastic. Articulation is slightly worse than a Lego minifig ( at least the minifig said head moves). Just horrible, but will serve for standing behind the good SRC's and forming a crowd.

I know what he's talking about. They sell them everywhere, target, wal-Mart, TRU, they're basically kids toys.

Looks like we might not have to wait for NYCC. According to Tag Hobby a reveal is coming next week at a toy show in Japan.
