Man. I was JUST wondering if/when this was ever going to happen. Just picked up the black Dragonzord last week and it got me thinking about how the Legacy Megazord was not up to the level of the others from the line. And here this is! I am definitely anxious to hear and see more!

I would like to remind everyone, these are early resin mock prototypes that don't even have all the joints worked in yet. These were painted just to show proof of concept and are probably solid resin blocks at this point. Since this is SOC the silvers will be metallic, the blue looks metallic and so on. I'm sure the finish will be excellent on the final product. I really hope that is the case. After looking at the pics again and seeing the leg joints on the Sabertooth and Mastodon, my concern is that they will not have the actual articulation points and engineering standards we've come to expect from SOC. Was it mentioned at the event if those joints will be poseable on the final product?

i just realize something, is Daizyujin a SOC GX-72 at this point sort of speak?, i mean, we already know that the GX-70 is Mazinger Z (base on the MZvsAD movie) and Voltron/ Golion is GX-71.

I just noticed something while looking at videos/pictures of the Dinozord display - Tyrannosaurus' upper legs are hollow. Obviously this is all subject to change considering it's a resin prototype, but my original thought was that they would modify the transformation so that the Tyrannosaurus lower legs would feed into the triceratops and sabertooth tiger GaoGaiGar style to allow full use of the Tyrannosaurus knees as Megazord's knees. Seeing the hollow upper legs, I take it they intend to use the Tyrannosaurus lower legs to fill in the upper legs for a proper transformation. Now I'm REALLY curious as to how they'll pull off giving Megazord knee articulation.

My guess is that they will allow the butt ends of the Saber Tiger and Triceratops to be more flexible to give the needed knee bends and swivel. If not, having something similar to Gaogaigar's or rather Gaigar's knees would do the trick. I say this cause unless my memory of the SRC is very fuzzy, the butt of the Triceratops and Saber Tiger were the said areas that did the bending as opposed to the smaller knees of the Tyrannosaurus. But that is using my limited knowledge of said SRC.

As a child of the 90s, I think I now understand how the initial announcements of SOCs of robots like Mazinger Z, Grendizer, etc. made some of you feel. I really hope that this does well enough that we see a Dragonzord and Titanus; I feel relatively confident in the former, but I'd particularly want the latter since I missed out on the Legacy Titanus.

never expected to see the day that finally bandai would add their sentai robots(power rangers) to this line. truly im having this stupid smile in my face seeing this. this literaly there is no question in anyones mind that this is gonna be far more superior to that crappy legacy version. So looking forward to see there combine form a well when they do dragonzord and titanus. i can finally retire the old mmpr versions. Why? I mean we long ago got a few of the early Sentai's or Tokusatsu robots. Battle Fever and Leoparden are from the same lineage. So more of the live action cardboard suits has always been a possibility. I think we all just assumed that SOC might be deliberately steering clear of the MMPR stuff in order to leave it to a different internal product line and division. Much the same way as we don't see SOC Gundam stuff. I wonder what the internal reaction from Bandai America to this thing is? (Which further begs the question might we see it directly distributed by BA via retail channels as some sort of Masterpiece issue?)

Well considering the fact that these news came about way after even the Legacy Megazord reissue was all said and gone, all that is left for that mold are the ridiculous aftermarket prices in which for said prices, people can just buy the Soul of Chogokin now which came at a great time. I don't necessarily think this was deliberate or planned but this release of the SoC Daizyujin may very well help lower the price of the aftermarket or at the least leave them more dead in the water as the price for the SoC more or less matches with said ridiculous aftermarket.

I'll probably end up selling my Legacy MMPR trio for cheap. They've just been sitting in my closet. I think my Titanus is even MISB while Mega and Dragon were only taken out for inspection.

Niko, where are you? I'm in the US (Northeast).
We have an extra MISB legacy megazord, we had to buy it to get a dragonzord to go with our existing sealed megazord and Titanus.
We decided not to buy the tigerzord as we have all the originals.
The extra is my brother's, I can ask him what he is looking to get for it.

Its a little slow at work right now since its almost quitting time, so I decided to take a glance at what the current aftermarket price for the Legacy Mega/Dragonzords and Titanus are and holy cow. Are people actually paying those prices? Hell, I was going to be happy to just get most of what I paid for 'em back and I bought at MSRP.

At this point, one would probably prefer to get the SoC releases especially if a Dragon Caesar is in the works.

Absolutely appreciate the offer, unfortunately I'm halfway across the world in Indonesia, and the shipping will be pretty steep. However, if he's looking to let it go at retail rate, I might be interested to eat the shipping cost. For Sentai bots, I'm really okay with the base articulation that the Legacy Megazord will give. That has always been my expectation for these kind of figures.

I think both are the same height the SOC one bend the knee more.

The SOC is overall a hair slimmer in all dimensions. A slightly reduced scale from the Legacy or DX. Which is fine. You can only go so big with die cast before running into weight issues.
