I've got this guy coming in a few weeks. Shipping out with SH Monsterarts Shin forms. Still can't believe bandai got me for 100 bucks on this one. Looking forward to it though. Complete the Kurogane tri-fecta.

Here is a comparison between all 3 SRC Grendizer figures. Left to right (Original, Anime Color and Kurogane Finish). I personally love the Anime color and Kurogane Finish way more than the original release. I still feel that they did not get the face/head right for him. I am not sure if it's the sculpt, the color...or both. But still this remains of the best Grendizer figures out there. Hardly any QC issues to mention. I really hope we get to see a Dynamic Classic Grendizer soon.

Hi, all, here's my review for the Super Robot Chogokin Grendizer Kurogane Finish. Ahh Grendizer.... there's always been something about this character that I've always loved, more than most Super Robots. Maybe it was the action? The background music? The way most episodes never seemed quite boring compared to previous Super Robot cartoons? Whatever it was, this show was ahead of its time for me. This is the third release of Grendizer for the Super Robot Chogokin line. Hand beam! Screw Crusher Punch! I had to borrow the Screw Crusher effects parts from the previous release version for this, this set does not come with any effects parts (similar to the Tamashii Exclusive Grendizer with Spazer set, only the mass retail version without the Spazer came with effects parts). Space Thunder! The "ears"/horns can still be removed so you can swap around the parts from the previous mass retail version release for the Space Thunder effect. Double Harken! This set does not come with the Spazer. I also forgot to grab my Spazer set from storage (yeah, big oops there), so I couldn't setup a proper pic with the Grendizer docked in. I'll try to do an update later on when I get the time hehe. Comparison with the mass retail release version SRC Grendizer (the one without the Spazer). With the Kurogane Colors Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. The boxes compliment each other. The original Mazinger Trilogy. Rocket Punch Generation Swords and Harkens Alternate poses The Good-Weighs 172 Grams -Diecast Parts include: --Upper torso --Lower legs --Main joints -The matte finish really makes this figure pop. It stands out compared next to the previous released versions. Goes very well with Kurogane colors Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger The Bad-All of the effects parts have been removed. -Straight up repaint of a previous release with no improvements. -It's a Tamashii Web Exclusive, unlike Kurogane Mazinger and Great Mazinger which were made available in mass retail. -No Spazer? Sigh.... -Remember the red line break on the back of SRC Grendizer's lower legs? Yep, still there (a nice little red paint strip wouldn't hurt, Bandai). The UglyI guess the price? I still can't wrap my head around why the price for this figure is higher than it should be. I mean, the matte color finish can't be that expensive? We got the Maz and Great Maz versions for only a slightly higher SRP, here we don't get any effects parts and the SRP of the figure is the same as the original figure WITH the Spazer. Overall, I really enjoyed the colors of this figure a lot! It looks great next to Kurogane colors Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. I think it's a given that if you have those two figures, you have to get this one to complete the set. It's a shame they decided to release this figure at an elevated price and not come without the Spazer, it's definitely a turn off for some folks I imagine. I can't believe they used the nickel plate limbs just for Grendy in this subline. Making it clash horrible with the nice silver painted Maz Z and Great Maz

Faelon, the nickel plating doesn't really bother me that much, I just pretend it's coz Grendizer's made with alien alloy and not Chogokin Thanks Chogokinabdul. Hehehe. My job is done Gold

Beautiful photos GOLD. Inspirational stuff. I am glad Bandai gave us 3 beautiful versions of SRC Grendizer. Jumbo Machinder version wouldn't hurt either.

Nice review Gold! I threw in the towel when this was announced as a web exclusive and sold off my previous two Kurogane finish figures.

Beautiful photos GOLD. Inspirational stuff. I am glad Bandai gave us 3 beautiful versions of SRC Grendizer. Jumbo Machinder version wouldn't hurt either. A jumbo version would be awesome! I wish they would do a Jumbo version of some of the other figures too. The Mazinger and Great Mazinger were really cool.
