me 5, Looks gorgeous and my first SRC. Been strictly SoC for Bandai stuff but I just don't see Bandai making a SoC of Zero anytime soon. Welcome to a new and dangerously addictive arm of the hobby. SRC's are not SOC's. They are their own little wonderful bits of die cast joy. They are a little more stylized and lack the transforming gimmicks, but dear gods the posing! You can do things with these you never would have thought possible in a robot toy.

This guy has an interesting look. I might have to pick him up. I hope that they make a version of Great from the manga. I'm not really feeling the look of the Emperor Great. there is a Great Mazinger with a similar design but you know what would be awesome if they do great mazinkaiser, i honestly dont know why thy bring this new robot, milking maybe ? lol I'm kind of there as well. I'm not normally a huge fan of the modernized grimdark badass take on the classic designs. But this one is catching my eye for some reason. Maybe it's that funky scrander. Ah who am I kidding. I have almost a complete set of SRC's. The only ones I've been prompted to skip are the two Armorred Core ones (which just don't fit in) and the new Jeeg (which just looks awful.) I'm gonna get this guy and a Emperor Maz. i might wait for the guys feedback

Let's say the pre-order price was the same between Ami-Ami and HLJ. Which would you guys choose and why?
Both are pricey when it comes to shipping but who packs better? From my experience HLJ ships nicely but its been such a long time since I've ordered from AA that I don't recall how their stuff arrives.

I love them both but if you are not sure whether you truly want the order, HLJ will let you cancel whereas AmiAMi will not. Thus HLJ gets my vote.

That was really cool. Wouldn't mind having one.
I hate the hassle of trying to get an exclusive.

I read the entire manga and this Mazinger doesn't show up once in it. The only Mazingers there are normal and Fewture. I read till episode 13 so maybe it's in the later mangas?
P.S. How do you fly with that thing on the back??? It looks like a nice throwing weapon, like a giant shuriken. A scrander??? Nope

This Mazinger definitely turns up in Shin Mazinger ZERO vs. Great General of Darkness from issue 12. Published in Akita Shoten's Red Champion Comics. This is the same publisher who printed Linebarrels of Iron.

My friend sent me this photo a few minutes ago from Japan. I thought it was a recolor at first. I wouldn't put it past Bandai to announce a recolor before the actual figure is released. I also thought Zero was going to be released soon. I didn't know it was a May release.

Diecast content looks good, typical for SRC but not complaining . Gold That's a perfectly acceptable amount of diecast to my eye. Chest, thighs feet hip joints and probably shoulder internals. Nothing to complain about there. Now we know where the metal from God Sigma, Giant Robo and Jeeg went.

As far as Diecast content on Zero goes, I have SoC's with quite a bit less.

That looks great.
I'm really ok with the die cast content. This is turning out to be a good figure. Might get two.

Smelling a Tamashii Web Exclusive in this video At (02:50) Zero's Iron! Cutter! knowing bandai i fully agree with you that there gonna make a weapon set combo of Zero and Emperor with the iron cutter and the emperor blades sold seperatly and twe, just like they did to mazinkaiser and shin getter 1.

Chen thanks for the link. I really like this guy. Looks like such a badass super robot. Almost as menacing as the Black Getter.
