personally i think every jeeg that has been made was a failure. bandai is the only hope to make a good one. and yes i owned the cm (?) verson too. it was floppy and weak all over brand new. i sold it for a loss just to get rid of it. You're never going to get a perfect Jeeg to Gokin standards. The problem is Jeeg was created based around a toy gimmick. The Magnet joints. So it's hard to have a good or accurate Jeeg without them. But they will always be floppy. ET has probably come the closest to making the concept work. But it is still a far cry from well engineered hips and knees. Those Magnet themed robots, Jeeg, Gakeen and Battarack are always going to have a few issues baked in as high end collectors Gokin, Simply because of the nature of the toys they were created to be.

i just wish they would eschew the damn magnet gimmick and make a good solid toy. paint the joints silver or whatever. maybe im in a minority i guess. i think having a great solid toy is better than making it come apart in little pieces.

Yeah. I am looking at the Evolution Toy Jeeg and he has no metal outside of the magnets. That and the plastic whilst not cheap is most likely hollow. So yeah, even with heavy duty magnets,it would be tough for a Steel Jeeg figure to have a diecast frame and magnets.

I agree. I know the magnet gimmick is nostalgic and "required" for a Jeeg but I know that I would never use it.

is there already many Mazinkaiser SOCs??? on SoC line nope, there never was a Mazinkaiser, only Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger's variation from recolors to new mold design or update. This is the first time that Mazinkaiser joins on the SoC line. the one you think is the SRC line which Mazinkaiser is in there as well his chorme version. there is also Mazinkaiser Skl which has 3 versions.

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, although I'll probably end up buying it regardless.

I'm still curious to see what the SOC will do to differentiate itself from the excellent SRC. Obviously size. But I'm hoping for something a little more special. I just don't know what.

Well one of the biggest complaints the SRC had was its mish-mash design from different Mazinkaiser variations. I would assume given the recent trend of making Mazingers as accurate as possible to their on-screen models, Mazinkaiser would probably look more like he appeared in the OVA/Movie. Beyond that, I suppose all Bandai could really do is match what Sentinel offered in terms of articulation and accessories at a cheaper price.

Seeing how I am sure we all want to stay on topic and I personally am more interested in Jeeg than Mazinkaiser. I know,it sounds like Heresy. Just wanted to put it out there.

It's a little more stylized than the most hardcore fans wanted, which is typical for SRC. But the actual sculpt, fit finish, articulation and metal content was excellent. It was a well engineered to and will be hard to top.

Just wanted to put it out there. yea sure go for it, but we are still not sure about it, is it truly an SOC or SRC anything "annoying" in the SRC was largely a matter of taste regarding the shaping and which anime or prototype they chose to model. s_gokin the dynamic rocket effects are meant to be used with a stand. thats why the holes are on the bottom. its very heavy.

That's the ver. of Mazinkaiser Iv'e been waiting for, and yes Grendizer is coming it's just matter of time. Better than the SRC ver. for me, SoC > SRC for so many reasons Thanks.
