Damn! .. I was wrong, this figure DOES have hip rotation, mine was just very stiff at the beginning. Hip rotation adds alot to this figure

Sorry to revive this thread but i have couple of info for those who have one.
First, do NOT DO NOT rotate the waist more then 1/8 inch( 1/4cm?)each way ( side to side)..... By design, it does NOT rotate more then that. I took a closer look and its designed not to rotate more then that. Why? Who knows what crazy Bandai is thinking.....
Second and more important, after dozen or so moveing my waist crunch joint, its is now loose as hell....thats just after a 12 or so freaking movements...wobbly, can move it by gravity alone..flippity flop!! That's just stupid. Look! I KNOW its a collectable and not a "toy."
But guess what? Its just a freaking toy at the end of the day and its shouldbe more robust then this. I like handling my collectable. If i wanted to pose it once and leave it on the shelf forever, i would have bought a freaking statue!! Much cheaper and joints are more durable, but this is ridiculous.
This is why I hate, HATE "super tight" joints, it will get loose WAY faster then properly designed joints. Its the laziest possible solution for joint getting loose. "Hey guys, lets just super tightened the joints so buyers will think its a good tight joints." Its the easiest and cheapest solution. And Bandai does this to most of thier highend collectables.... Aargh!!!
Rants off....sorry and thanks for letting me rant.

Thanks for understanding.
Like most here, i dont buy these guys for investments, but sheer pleasure of looking AND handling these art pieces. I open them up display them AND time to time i handle them occasionally. I don't expect them tobe a new condition after years of occasional handling, but newish gokin getting loosy goosy after a few good play is not fair........

thanks for sharing greengetterguyfor me this guy is the worst DC in the line (i dont mean its awful by any means) but this problem is stupid and it shouldn't be in a SOC line specially modern releases how old is this figure ? if you got it as soon as they release then it will be 10 months not even a year old well mine is in its box so i hope nothing happened to it

Yeah. Most of my super robot chogokin are loose af. I've managed to repair that for the most part but they do need maintenance to stay tight. The only one who has managed to avoid this terrible fate is jeeg, so hey, kudos to the little guy

This makes me glad for once that I suck at posing my figures and just display them in a static pose.

Every one of my soc has held really good over the years mind you I only play with them when I get them out of the box to the displays and that’s it. Kinda sad because I know I am not the only one doing this. The articulation it’s rock on and good as the first time now I don’t pose them in crazy ways, or nothing (mazinger never did a van damn split 😯😂) so yeah. I pose according to the robot. Some dinamic poses and that it. Even my src’s have held pretty good. The only floppy mess I have since day one has been arc Shin getter 1 and the aoshima black devil wings shin getter 1 as well, but that boy it’s too heavy for his own good... other than that all of them good

What are the chances we get the trio of Getter Robo G in Dynamic Classics? I would think now that we're getting GX-91, maybe Bandai has plans for Getter Dragon, Liger and Poseidon in DC versions?

i think its a very high chance
every robot that got a role in Dynamic planing classic movies have a chance for a DC figure
so we have Getter G trio, Boss borot, Dianan A and Venus A
if my memory didn't fail me, those are the ones who is left

And Speaking of NOT being able to handle, how is Bandai gonna handle "Jeeg?"
Dun dun daaaaaaaah~~~ hahaha
FYI to Bandai: How to build a stable Jeeg 101 from an average gokin Jeeg collector. Dont be ashamed Bandai.
1.the most important, keep the hip on strong ratchet, NO magnets on hip! 2.legs and feet MUST be all metal, can use magnet joint! 3.minium metal in top half the Jeeg (as a counter balance, maybe the back can be metal but that's it), except for magnet joint system. Try to Keep it light! 4.head, wrist AND feet really should be on magnet joint... 5. Except for the hip, Do not get cute and add a complex compound joint on limbs. Straight simple but STRONG magnet joint will suffice most area. 6.well, butterfly shoulder/chest and collapsing calf can work i guess, i know its Bandai specialty so hope they wont fail that... 7.oh, have a seperate body that has the torso, waist, and hip must be connected by fixed joints...not magnet. This can be considered as an accessory. Its purpose is to have a stable Jeeg that collectors can hold it without worrying it will fall apart when he lifts it.
but its Bandai...and its Jeeg...so...

Idk about the ratchet hip tbh. My dynamite action jeeg has magnet hips and they're beautiful. They're also strong enough to hold the src mazinger zero, and the figure is stable enough to hold said zero on it's shoulders. I think it's a matter of execution. But yeah, Bandai should really try to make a DC jeeg and try to make it right this time. Imo the SoC shin jeeg and src jeeg were pretty suppar figures

I took my GX-74 out this morning since I've started watching the vintage anime. I love it! I really hope Bandai announces DC versions of Jeeg and the Getter Robo G bots in 2020.

Jeeg only in SRC line for right now, hard to believe bandai wont develop jeeg in SOC line, currently just shin jeeg in SOC line with not so good magnet design. Im a little bit frustated when combine SOC shin jeeg with heavy part combine together with a lot magnet join (not a good idea for extreme pose). Since all Jeeg variant developed by evolution toys with new varian is a 21cm " non magnet" Grand Action Big Size line, hope this latest release from evol toys/future quest can fix the limited pose with magnet joints.
